  1. As a norwegian I found the game quite entertaining. Some great skills and play from Zidane, Rooney(MOTM), Campell/King. Most of my friends wanted France to win, because of their attacking style. I just hoped England would would win, as I like fair play. Not like that shi* Makelele. Cant forget his provocating play in CL against Monaco.

Well, I think England did well, some good football against maybe the best team in Europe. You shouldnt blame everyone like Becham, Gerrard, James....Eriksson and so on... Everyone gave what they had and fought well. There are no game without personal mistakes. And applouse to Eriksson, for giving a great player like Rooney the chance at his age. Kept England in the game.

As the game ends, well, thats football, and thats whats makes the game so unbelivable fun! Great game, good play from both teams.

    Just lovin`it!

  2. I believe Tromsö will accept 25M norske kroner for Morten Gamst Pedersen.

Some contacts to me tells me will fly to England for a medical later this week and accept a 4 year deal with rovers.

Remember you've heard it here first.

    Cheerios

Hope you got this one right!

With him and a CM, matteo or opefully Van Buyten I will be quite happy!!

  3. Wasn't there a similar debate about whether or not the player was good enough or that the club showed no ambition when we signed Andy Todd, he ended up being one of the best players last season.

It's probably that incident that has led me to stop shooting my mouth off over every signing we make. When Todd was signed I was completely against it and thought it would be a disaster. Todd eventually impressed so much that I had to post how he had shown me to be utterly wrong in the middle of last season. Of course he then spoilt all the good walk by walking out of Ewood on the eve of a game but that doesn't negate the part he played. By that time Todd had proved himself to be a good member of the squad to have, something that Tris had mentioned numerous times but myself and many of those posters on here now up in arms about this signing had disagreed with.

Dickov seems a similar signing- cheap and to be a squad player, meaning he could be first choice but only if he played out of his skin. This time I'm going to give the guy a chance before deciding he is a poor signing. I'm going to see just what he offers our team first. It's be nice if other posters could do the same, especially as they've been proved wrong before. I've learnt my lesson regarding shooting my mouth off thanks to the likes of Freidel, Stead and Todd either proving me wrong or at least performing better than I expected.

Is there anyone else up for being a bit less quick to criticise?

What's that noise I can hear???

    Oh, right....

"On my own, on my own, on my own...."

    Fair enough.

    Good post FLB!

  4. Or is Pederson (I'm asking any of the members who have seen how he plays) also good at defensive duties?

Oh..and is he worth the reported £1.5million that he would supposedly cost?

He has a great attitude, and works his socks off. He take long def. runs, giving 110% no mather if its attacking or defencive work.

He is worth £1,5 mill! He is young an unproven in PL, but if we even have to pay £2 mill, he is worth the gamble. He has all the qualities to do well. Clever runs, good pace, good skills, great attitude, willing to learn, hard working, great free kicks and good finishing! The only negative, is that he is unproven at PL leavel. Anyway, he is a LEFT WINGER!!!! Get him!

  6. Well done to you for admitting your mistake. As souness has said, he has not changed anything great, its just players have started to perform on the pitch.

It is not a case of turning things round, I think all those who were not calling for Sounesses head recognised that the team had it in them to go on a run. It was not a change at the top that was needed, it was the players and fans needed to get their belief back.

Rovers fans have been very quick to call for a change of manager ever since 94/95. What we need to realise is that sometimes teams have bad seasons. The good thing is that we have the manager and the players that can stop a bad season turning into a disasterous season.

Again I congratulate you on admitting your mistake. rover.gif

    agree!
