4-1 to Chorley.
Chorley were losing 1-0 at half time, then they steam rolled Altrincham in the 2nd half. It was mentioned that there was few Rovers dotted about yday. These forums are priceless for advertising offers ect for smaller non league clubs.Hope the lads and lasses who attended yesterday enjoyed there experience and return next time Blackburn Rovers no 3pm kick off

Saw the highlights of the Chorley game. Ex-Rover O'Keefe with the opener for the Magpies and then Matty Unwin pulled off some fine saves.
That challenge from Challinor though was a disgrace.
And got away with penalty to..ex rovers legend garry flitcroft was a manager at Chorley for a magnificent 7 year spell ,is brother is manager at Mansfield who Chorley have drawn In round 2

The Fa cup 1st round starts this weekend ,many lower non league clubs will be looking to cause some upsets .There's not many bigger ties than Chorley FC v Doncaster Rovers FC ( somehow Bt and BBC chose not to show live coverage?). If you would like to go and support the Lancashire lads v Yorkshire here's the details

9£ Concessions
5£ 12-16 years
Under 12 free
Tickets on sale from club shop from 10am til 5pm everyday

So are you in the hat for the 1st Round of the FA Cup? Is that the draw you referred to above?
Yes we're in round 1 now.Its a tricky situation do u want a Sunderland were probably 20,000 be on or a non league team were u can pocket another 36,000£ for winning in round1..last season in round 1 the club received 67,500£ of BT sport for live coverage of the tie v fleetwood

You in the 1st round proper then?
I see a couple of ex-Rovers Urwin and O'Keefe play for you. Any good?
edit: and Blakeman too?
These 3 are probably sofar the 3 players that have been the stand out players sofar..Urwin as unbelievably only concerned 4 goals in 13 league matches?.blakeman as scored 9 goals from left wing back. Plenty of rovers hats and scarfs at Chorley looked like afew did what we did

Hang on guys, of course I believe Chorley won.
Just typical of the appalling drift in BBC standards that they failed to get any scores from the FA Cup until hours after final whistles and they got that one wrong.
At least we are not waiting for the first round draw whenever it is made...
The draw is live on bbc2 monday @ 7pm ..wishing for Sunderland away or met police at home

Today our junior team Astley and Buckshaw under 10s (from Chorley) were treated to a unbelievable day by rovers community. 10 till 11 am the lads were coached by the team on the indoor pitches and played games against a couple of other teams from Blackburn area them before kick off they flag waved on the touch line ( even getting an appearance on sky??) .The best was yet to come as half time approached we told the lads there going on the pitch to take penalties, they simply couldn't believe it!! The match and atmosphere was great and hopefully this will lead to these going live football and not thinking football is a Xbox game..many thanks rovers
On side note the day got even better as we went to watch Chorley FC after the match, the came from 2 down and beat league above barrow 3-2 infront of 2000 fans..What a bloody day
