This argument about training is nonsense. Where it matters in games, Pears has made 5 errors leading to goals in the last 6 games or so. Tomasson also picked Pears over a goalkeeper we saw in games was a lot better. Pears continuing in goal does not make it the right decision by Tomasson.

If Tomasson was happy with Pears why did we spend 800k on a sub?

It isn't just training though. Wahlstedt will have had a number of games including u23, cup and behind closed doors. The point is, unfortunately, based on these, the management and coaching staff, have deemed him not yet ready to take over from Pears. The fact that he isn't is obviously not great news, but hopefully medium/ longer term he'll prove a good signing.

I'd prefer a Bradley Johnson of a few years ago type sat in the middle than the Liverpool kid every day of the week.

I know he has some qualities but not enough contribution to start every game imo it's more about what he might do than what he actually does. 2 in 3 games he goes completely missing he's just too lightweight and wastes most set pieces he takes, we wouldn't end up camping in our own box against bottom of league at home if we actually had some solidity in the middle.

Such naive stuff it boils the blood.

I still can't fathom how Morton plays every single game and gets a free pass for contributing so little. 1 assist and no goals in 20 league games I think......Happy to be corrected if wrong. Not a patch on Harvet Elliot and far close to Leighton Clarkson. I'd chose Adam Wharton ahead of him based on what I've seen to date.

"Last night was one of the worst displays of football management you could witness."

Presumably it would have been THE worst display of football management in footballing history had we not won by 2 clear goals!

If we'd have stuck with Mowbray's 'game plan' we'd have been comprehensively beaten. Fortunately his set up was so inept fans and players demanded change, with the odd exception such as yourself possibly. Thankfully common sense and professional pride prevailed.

Ffs both qpr and huddersfield with last minute winners again!! We miss a pen and concede q last min winner. So so frustrating

That's what teams pushing for promotion do, find a way to win when the odds are against you or down to 10 men etc. Respect to anyone who does that.......... we talk a good game about character etc, about time we started showing it.

They got beat away at Blackpool and Coventry battered them....Mogadon has to start taking 3 points off these types just like the lad up the M55

100%. It's about time we beat a team a few points ahead of us....injuries or no injuries. Like any team in this league they are well beatable if we go into it with the right attitude.....over to you Mowbray, we're not playing Liverpool

Technically, Sunderland was a town when they won 6 League titles and 2 FA Cups.  Going on about us being a town club is meaningless.

Hi Mick, I don't think ot is meaningless at all and is something the club should be proudly stating as our USP / badge of honour. Blackburn Rovers the most successful town club in the country........(if not in any of the major leagues in Europe?)

Amazed anyone buys this sort of "it takes ten years for anything good to happen" type nonsense.

After getting promoted from the Championship to the Premier League through the play offs under Dalglish we finished 4th, 2nd and 1st. People would no doubt argue that was down to Jack's wallet but it is still a great achievement. Good things tend to happen very quickly when a manager knows what they're doing. Where are we after 3 years with Mowbray -15th, 10th, probably 14th or 15th again.

For a more accurate comparison re finances Howard Kendall took us up from the old 3rd division and then missed out on promotion to the top flight the following season on goal difference with the same group of players and far less financial support than Mowbray has had because he was a good manager and didn't need to waffle on about supposed long term plans to excuse poor performance.

Bumbling along in lower mid table under a crap manager, I'm sick of it, I mean what's the point?

Agreed, its a total cop out. Look at Stoke, appointed a top manager who got the required extra points to stave off relegation last season, and straight into play off contention this season. No messing about and compare to Mowbray efforts......failed to get the required extra couple of points to stay up in first season, and still messing about years later going absolutely nowhere. A proper manager just gets the job done with minimum of fuss and makes rapid progress..........Mowbray talks a good game but goes nowhere and this is accepted by majority unfortunately.
