It strictly true in regards to getting results at deepdale we haven’t lost there in the last 4 visits, last year we only drew cause of a freak OG we win 4-1 and 3-0 before then lost 3-2 and 4-1  3-2 the years before and won 2-1 before that, our record at deepdale is t bad at all it’s ewood where we struggle but Preston are a bogey who 8/10 get undeserved results against us, the only times you can say fair enough is when we lost 4-1 all the others they didn’t deserve what they got, again at ewood the only time they deserved the result they got was the 4-1 which was cause we was that bad the rest they either scabbed an undeserved win or even draw they get the rub of the green a lot against us

I think a draw was a fair result in this case and that both teams showed good and bad sides during this match.

I think the Rovers lads showed grit and determination in the second half which was something that some of the forum suggested they didn't have.

Let's see which team 'turns up'.

    Anybody's guess at this point.

Football is a funny old game... unless you are losing and your club has been invaded by bodysnatchers, cheats and liars... just saying...

I think you may be in for a pleasant surprise, one extra days rest after Preston had a lot of running about against boro and now with a number of injuries......

The game has been and gone but yet you scour local media and the like to post Rovers fans opinions. If I didn't know better I would think you are trying to mix us a bottle on here and an element of gloating too.

As previously stated i wouldn't ever take any PERSONAL satisfaction out of victory due to two main points...

    one -i  wasn't playing

two - my season ticket money has no real outcome on our spending and i have no involvement in the running of my team off the pitch either

I find supporters that make comments and appear to take some sort of personal satisfaction as if they have anything to do with their team as rather strange, especially those that make fun of others.  Probably the type of people who take the mickey out of people less advantaged then them ..

But on the other hand i find that a lot of the Rovers lot are great people and have great points of  view and are able to make them on two sites the forum and the telegraph.  Also as my personal history is that my Grand Father and his father where Rovers i have no issues with them and often imagine of both sometimes together getting down to Ewood in the olden days..

Asked in the other thread but didn't get a reply... Is Carter injured?

    Hayden Carter

Injury: The centre-back was suspended against Norwich but picked up a hamstring strain against Chelsea.

What JDT said: "Hayden Carter is banned but he also got injured in the game against Chelsea. He will be out for two to three weeks."

preston fans eagerly awaiting their cup final

they`ve spotted how bad wahlstadt is and are planning to inform lowe (like he won`t already know!)

generally apprehensive about teams like preston, extremely basic, thuggish but massively determined, they are usually our achilles heel,,you only have to look at some of their players to know their approach, hoping for a strong ref and a win for football over ale house tactics before the break

Would you then not describe the two goals that Preston scored as both things of absolute beauty?

Do you stalk media outlets as well as social media to garner Rovers fans opinions? If you don't mind me saying so it's strange behaviour.

No i a have no issue with anybody asking a question in fact i enjoy the fact that you have taken the time to ask me th question.

I also enjoy reading other fans opinions as is often the case it appears that the football fan in general and the difference of opinions on the same subject are so varied they are almost impossible to understand.

All football teams are a image of their manager. PNE are physical, in your face, take the shortest route to goal, adapt tactics to the team they are playing. Not an admirer of Lowe, not my cup of tea, another scouser in your face, but a passionate winner, who shows his emotions on the touch line. Lowe does not moan about his budget or injuries. His budget is less than that of Rovers, his injuries on a comparison. Has anyone seen JDT do a interview yet without mentioning his 'young team, his low budget, Rovers injuries, NO, me neither. JDT gives his side excuses to lose, not so Lowe. Rovers side mirror their Coach/manager persona. Bland, passive, little backbone , little resilience, a rookie team with a rookie coach. That is why Rovers have lost 5 Championship games at home already , long before Christmas. On the other hand we could have Wayne Rooney, god forbid ? You can have all the tippy tappy football you want, all the procession you want, play out from the back ALL the game to your hearts content. But it is not, and will not produce winning football , Lowe knows that , JDT does not. Never forget we are not ' Bloody Barcelona ' ?

So you have a different thought process to this chap of the telegraph?

We don't need to think we know, last seasons budget decreased at short notice in this summers window by 15% and we had to bring in 5 million in fees pronto.

That isn't transfer kitty it was operating/wage budget.  We were already on sell to buy before that.

Thank you for pointing that percentage out to me.

How do you think that now sits you in the championship spending table?

If we had a reasonable track record in these types of games, then your point would be valid.

"Another day" never comes and we generally lose, or fail to win, any game with a bit more pressure riding on it, eg a local derby or against a potential promotion rival, or against any side if we are in control of our own destiny at the business end of the season, (see the stats of our recent second half of the season collapses).

Friday's game ticked two of the above boxes.

We can be easy on the eye, but lack mental and physical toughness.

The head coach was denied the opportunity to try and address that last Summer.

which point then is not valid?

Preston North End captain Alan Browne believes Preston North End's experience helped them beat Blackburn Rovers, describing the game as 'men against boys'.

    Stark reality.

Every objective Rovers' fan can see this.

For the deluded, rose spectacled brigade, keep dreaming.

As a Preston North End i do not agree with my club captain view i believe that on another day Blackburns younger team could have easily won by a few goals......I believe that Blackburns manager one day manage at the highest level with top top players.

pne are the most boring club in the whole wide football world, for 60 years they`ve done and won **** all and bounced around the bottom two divisions like zebedee, they obviously need their hatred of rovers to get excited about something,i used to go out with a girl from penwortham, nice girl but her dad a right miserable ****,on account of having a season ticket to deepdale no doubt

I think to be fair if you take a look at the vlogs from the Blackburn fans you will see that THIS derby means a lot to a lot of people, Preston and ROVERS.

You get the odd anomaly type who likes to be different and have some sort of superior thoughts about themselves and there particular club.......

Did the Penwortham girl see sense....

They splashed out on 4 good young goal scorers/potential goalscorers in a short space of time in the forms of Dack, Arma, Gally, BBD.

All that to the tune of around 16 million outlay but only profited from one who after deductions and initial fee delivered half that back.  I don't think we'll ever see anything like that ever again as long as they are here now and boy will we pay for it, just imagine JDT being allowed to bring in a striker and a luxury player he has identified.

We'd be blazing if he also added another experienced centre defender but alas no chance and Vs let the incompetents in the form of Waggot and the shadowman carry on riding the gravy train. When they have had the biggest hands in the mess of not maximising player trading income.

Do you not believe the club benefit from the goals each scored?

If we put a couple of PNE's bruisers in our side we'd finish top 6 iv'e no doubts and if you sprinkled some of our best players and football style into their team it would challenge the top 3 come May.

Sadly it's a tale of two opposites but if you want to grind your way into the play offs in this league you need substance over style.

    Which is them not us.

Out of interest what do you Rovers fans think you r budget has decreased by to have such upset in the ranks?

It certainly was a boxing match - which is a shame because I paid to see a football match.

The referee shouldn't be allowed to officiate again.

I have to be honest and off course your entitled to an opinion as the right of all person(s) but i didn't really see a lot wrong friday night what i would add though is that i thought Blackburn where very good at fouling to disrupt play up the pitch to stop the counter.  I think it is a klopp invention but i may be wrong.

  18. If i was a Rovers fan i wouldn't be to despondent after last nights performance and i would not be to harsh on the manager.  If you are to be rational and look at the play with a depleted squad then we would all admit that last night Rovers could have easily won the game.   If you can get your players back in playing a style that is great on the eye then you have as much chance of getting into the play offs as anybody. (note i didn't say us as i do not feel we have the capability as yet)  I accept that on another night Preston could have taken their chances and maybe won by more i have  seen the xg figures but the feeling i got from the game was that both teams created chances in both halves but we took one more chance you did,.

The game appeared to go one way than another with each team controlling periods of play after Preston scored it looked like in boxing terms that they were looking for the knock out and then after half time Blackburn came out of the blocks and scored and nearly blew the game away with some fast exchanges of passing and movement.  Towards the end we looked good and in the end took one more chance than you did.

Not to mention the ball played to the man who crossed it was offside

I think you will find that on this occasion that appears to be factually incorrect.

if you go to the following page scroll down you will see a video that is perfect from the Rovers end that will evidence clearly that no to be the case.

A rivalry has to mean something special to both sides; if it doesn’t, it isn’t a rivalry.

I am a Texan, & I grew up on Texas/Oklahoma. That IS a rivalry, both sides derive much pleasure/pain from it. my in-laws are Texas Tech fans, and as much as they think they have a rivalry with the University of Texas, they don’t. It’s just another game to we Longhorns.

I have no knowledge about you so i have no idea if your American or English but i can provide you with the following meaning from the English dictionary..
