Every manager knows when their time is up and they cannot do any more, and that results are so bad their position is untenable. I think Mowbray is nearing that point. His whole demeanour last night showed a man who doesn't know what to do.

It's ok to say he went on "a similar death spiral" last season, and "Waggott laughed" when questioned about Mowbray's position, but it's missing the point, which is that there comes a time when a manager - even Mowbray - loses credibility and has to walk away.

Two more defeats could see Mowbray leave the club IMO.

It’s all good for a manager to say “i don’t want to be a burden on the club, and If I feel they need a new voice, then fine” but has a manger ever actually done that?

I asked waggott outside PNE last season, he may have thought I was a Preston fan as coming out of one of the lounges, but he wasn’t too concerned then. I couldn’t have been more mad after that game I don’t think 😂

I believe Mowbray will be backed, he’s convinced the owners to back his spending on “European recruitment” and have backed him to an extent with transfer budgets ect... so can’t see them pulling the trigger now.

Mowbray would need to lose the confidence of Suhail Pasha, because I think it’s quite evident that Waggott will stick by him. Having no fans in the grounds might also be helping his cause at the moment.

one thing Mowbray has always managed is a result when he needs one, a big month coming up.

Other clubs have directors for this. Loan managers/analysts who scout and chose a good fit for them. We leave it onto the lads agent who no doubt only cares which deal is sweetest for him.

This is literally how it will happen at every club, agents will look for loan moves aswell as teams enquiring directly to club. Player and agent will then decide where they think is best for them to go.

some clubs (prem) will have staff that specifically keep up with their players out on loan. Championship clubs, it will likely fall to U23 manager/staff.

    You are correct Paul.

I'm(and another Rovers supporting fan) spoken to Alan Nixon and Ken Lawrence over the 24 hours and they both say

    Ken Lawrence responses are

question asked:- Is Mowbray under any pressure?

KL Answer :- No. Venkys really like him. They know he is changing BR and it will take time. Consider where they were after rel to L1. Plus for right now loads of injuries. He’s seen to be doing a good job

next question asked :- about Saturday performance

KL answer :- I was there. Walton doesn’t miss a cross and there is no fight back. Mowbray trying to make BR a football playing side again. When Holtby gets back plus Lenihan and Cunningham they will be much better

Next question/comment asked:- Said we need a new keeper and Right back

KL Answer response:- Totally need a new GK

Nixon says his job isn't current threat atm

Last night/This morning via a Group chat containing people who are Rovers fans are mixed whether to keep Mowbray or not. Some say time to go, some say keep him for the season and some saying hes get 6 games or till Christmas time and some are undecided and would depend on who is his replacement.

My view is the same but he is going nowhere at the minute so lets hope he can turn results around and get to January were we can sign the 3 or 4 players we need in the squad.

Atleast I can stop checking Twitter now! ??

Would folk stop spouting the boro would come calling nonsense, never going to happen, mowbray isn’t well respected in footballing circles, there would be uproar in boro I’d they potted wood gate and brought struggling mowbray in. Never in a million years is that scenario going to happen so we can just can that one now

“Mowbray isn’t respected in footballing circles”?

i think his time at rovers is coming to an end, but quotes like this are utter drivel.
