  1. Not guilty. I didn't do anything on facebook. I have it to communicate with a son and daughter who live abroad and want to show me photos of what they are up to - that's all.

Are you sure you don't want to change your guilty plea - CHECK YOUR QUOTE from June 12 2008??? Oh well!

Regarding FaceBook petition - in reply to EwoodGlory signing on - "Me too. Resisted for as long as I could and then had to give in when I realised it ws becoming more and more of a possibility that he was going to be given more than an out of politeness interview. I laughed when sky first linked Hughes going to City with allardyce's swift return from holiday."

Hope your memory is better at work than it is on here!

Or is that a different Gumboots?

  2. Wouldn't do that but can you honestly say you think Barton would be a good signing for us. He's never going to sort himself out if he hasn't done so already, at least not while he's playing football. perhaps away from football he might become a respectable citizen but even then i wouldn't hold my breath.

No, I would prefer he went somewhere else.

Your comments just reminded me of your feelings when BFS was linked with us! - It was just a tongue in cheek answer to your previous FaceBook push!

  3. I think there might be a lot of people boycotting matches if this one happens. I'm still not happy that we tood Diouf, but so far, apart from having a bit of an over the top go at the ref, he hasn't done anything to show us up. Barton is a permanent accident waiting to happen.

You could always start a FaceBook petition?! Then he won't come at summer, but will probably be here by Jan! :-)

  4. Maybe we should create a thread for each stand for example Blackburn End Stand Lower thread or Riverside Stand Darwen end thread etc, this could draw the attention of members who are seated in those stands who may not trawl through all the threads on this site. The threads wouldn't just have to be about making songs etc they could be used to discuss any incidents that happen in that stand.

I sit in the riverside near the DE so I'd have plenty to moan about.

Do you mean moaning about away fans?

As far as noise and singing, I sit in the Riverside near the DE and it's always a good atmosphere. I know the Riverside gets some stick 'coz your only a 'real Rovers fan' if you sit in the Blackburn end, but the area I sit makes as much noice as anywhere!

  5. Is he?

I can't recall a situation this season of him moaning and he always comes across as one of the most upbeat individuals in interviews etc, Hughes has also said the rest of the players love having him around at training.

What makes you think he's moody? Because he doesn't run around like Dickov?

Seemed a really nice bloke last night. Smiling all th time. Softly spoken, signing autographs for a good hour. He even won the players player of the year and is very popular with the rest of the team and backroom staff.

  6. Radio Lancs ran an interview with Jose M regarding Benni and when asked if he would be going to Chelsea said NO! But went on to praise him and say he'd been the second best striker this season (after Drogba). Spoke to Benni last night at the player awards and he was not giving anything away, but how John Williams and Mark Hughes where talking up next season he is going nowhere! But 8 weeks is a long time for something to happen.

  7. i was always behind him playing the role, as my signiture stated - "give him a chance."

bringing it back to the axe, he'd make a great bond baddie.... he reminds me of this gentleman -http://www.mi6.co.uk/sections/villains/kananga.php3?t=lald&s=lald

Sorry Pleasure, I know you fought his corner (like me). I just couln't resist. I hoped you would see the funny side being a Bond fan. :-)

  8. aaron, my apologies.

he's improved beyond all recognition, in the last couple on weeks, particularly with regards to distribution.

after his 'strikers finish' yesterday, we know where to turn if we have a 'striker crisis'!

Did you also do a similar retraction regarding Daniel Craig not being up to playing James Bond? :-)

  9. You having a bad day blue/white? No need to jump down my throat. I never said there was anything wrong with the Rovers kit. How would placing a small token (it need not be a STAR as i DID indicate - maybe the date below the badge OR in the weave of the fabric) that represents the 'achievement and history' of BRFC effect the 'tradition' of the blue and white halves of the Rovers shirt??? Personally it represents the greatest sporting moment of my life and I am proud that my local team managed such an achievement against stiff odds. What's wrong with shouting this fact from the rooftops, only TWO other clubs have thus far managed it!
