  1. For those who care:

KV Kortrijk (Belgium) was the club closest to get Brereton. Came with a bid, but Rovers had no intensions to tell (don't know how much but far far from what we paid, so fair enough). They was still heavy into a loan and was willing to pay wages in full. Rovers on board aswell. (Don't know if Brereton was)

But late in the window KV went in and got a permanent deal for a Pape Gueye from Aalesund in Norway instead.

I don't realllly think they make a living out of it ..so basically wont give a f*ck ..but kept you and the rest  of us hooked ..whos reputation is ruined  ..ours . .?

Im hooked aswell. Just telling what ive been told, for example Lamptey, my guy was 100 % right on that one. The story about Brighton broke the day after. The only issue I have with that is that that could have been a done deal a week ago. If Mowbray would have said "Yes, we will pay you this small fee if he doesn't play a certain numbers of games " He would be in our squad now. Matter of principal by Mowbray but not a good negotiation-plan

  3. The Atsu-deal has been of for a while with Newcastle confident a club would take his wages. But clubs seems to be doing a Rovers and refusing to pay the whole salary. Rovers have come with an offer of what they can offer and it's all up to Newcastle.

The only thing thats weird is that this offer seem to be exactly the same offer Newcastle turned down a few weeks ago. So it appears that Rovers have offer the max of what the can right away.

As an option they could offer loan with option to buy, but Mowbray will prefer to wait because of the price.

To be fair you did claim last night that the deal that we appear to have been blown out of the water on  was a virtual certainty to happen and that it was just a case of dotting the i's and crossing the t's etc.

Other than that both of you should probsbly stop willy waving at each other or get a room. You're entitled to post info if you wish and he's equally entitled to believe it or not. For my own part I find it hard to give much credence to a rumour where no names or specifics are given but there you go, I'm sure most people appreciated the info.

At first yes, then I came back with new info later on. Exactly the info that broke thru today. But fair to have that opinion and the pissing-contest is stopping now??

No names mate, so yes we should press him. I've been up front about what I know with names.  Not made up rubbish

Press me for names? Im sorry Mr. Officier, can you tell me if the good cop is on his way?

Haha I was a bit frustrated by your comments but that one actually made me laugh. Not "haha" with a smile but I was actually laughing.

Im a family-man who happens to be "lucky" and have a guy i know in the football-game who again happens to know a thing or two about the club Im a fan of. And you, a guy a don't know is talking about "pressing me for names". Wow ?

Ask who? You really are blagging this....Atsu is spoken about and you go..."yeah, that's it, that's the one I was on about...." ???

No, you are twisting my words.

Yesterday I said we had a loan deal lined up 100% for a player-  just negotiaton about the fee regarding playing a certain amount of games. Not a big deal but something needed to be sorted. A few hours later I put out that another club had came in with a ridiculousy high bid - not loan. And that the selling club would consider that instead. Today, that story broke didnt it??

Then you going on about Atsu. I just commented on a post about Atsu. I never claimed to broke the news about him because that name have come up several times before. What a did say that Ive been told is that his wages is really high and Rovers wouldnt be able to pay his wages. And by time more clubs have come along and Newcastle have demanded even more of his wages paid then they told Rovers. Therefore that deal has been off for a good time now. That information, as far I know, has not come out yet, and therefore I just said it when his name popped up again.

So next time you want to twist my words make sure you twist them right.

As I speculated about 90 pages back, Atsu a name on the list...

He is one of many on the list of wingers but wages is unbelivable high. My guy said he was off our list when more clubs came along and Newcastle demanded even more of his salary paid. Forest or another championship club more likely to pay more of his wage than Rovers.

Only scenario we get him is money in somehow.

Was that part of the compensation deal? I didn't see anything mentioned at the time

I quick search and found only that the clubs agreed on a fee. No info on sell on clause.

But can't imagne Rovers, who actually offered him a deal he rejected, didn't get a sell on when they avoided a tribunal. That's just insane if so.

    It's all feckin nonsense.

Can we start signing players to play in their rightful positions.

Square pegs in round holes syndrome is, IMO, a huge reason for our mediocrity and for Mowbray failing to get the best out of what we've got.

    Agree.

But the player is a good one, would be more than happy if he came (Brighton aswell I reckon..). If this means that Mowbray planning on putting Nyambe in CB, we can only speculate.

  10. 3 minutes ago, CambridgeRover said:

So this is the player we wanted but due to playing time conditions from Mowbray we lost out. To be honest, why would we want another right back and guarantee him playing time when we have Nymabe who we need to develop

He can play further up the pitch aswell. Several positions, just like Mowbray wants it.

And the discussions, as I understand it, it's not guarantee playing time but a relatively small fee to payif he not reaches a certain number of games.

MY opinion is that this is a matter of principle from Mowbrays side.

  11. Some tension from a few ones here who are frustrated with me and Bbrovers. From my point of view, I think its exiting when Bbrovers have some info, dont need to know all the details, just some info I can get exited about.

And you can critisize how much you want, I just dont get why people get so angry. Just scroll on if you don't like it. It's not like i comment on every single post on here, I don't have the urge to reply to everything I don't agree with or like.

BUT for the few people who thinks it's a bit exiting, the word is still, that he i 100% sure we sign 1 tomorrow - most likely 2. I was a bit frustrated at Mowbray earlier tonight and still am, but he surprise me know and then.. Not at all as naive as he can seem in interviews.

Yea top half league one, although Barnsley might consider, mulgrew wants to finish abroad, I can see him moving outwith the window. Don’t see him playing much more minutes for us if any

Knew about a league one team but not Barnsley. Did not know about Mulgrew either.

Thanks for the info and keep up the good work. Always read your posts with excitement ?
