  1. I'm trying to do the sums in my head but can anyone tell me what amount Burnley get from parachute payments, I'm thinking factoring parachute payment plus the inevitable player sales they should easily clear the brought forward loan repayment or is it not that simple

    Not quite right.

The League 1 promotion campaign was a reasonable effort although given the fact it was so heavily bankrolled by the owners it would have been an absolute disaster had we not gone up.

At Championship level however, completely agree. His record for us in this division is absolute shite. I keep saying it but given the backing he's had, pound for pound he's our worst ever manager for me.

In my opinion the league 1 campaign showed mowbray to be exactly what he is ,a manager with absolutely no ambition ,by that I mean if you had something about you you would realise that a club live rovers would have limited chances of silverware and would have busy a gut to beat Wigan to the league one championship ,instead he was happy to come second but that's just him ,happy to be second best ,just look at his cup and local derby record  to show he has no ambition ,time for him to fuck off and take the equally unambitious owners with him

And this is where we fall at the first hurdle. Incompetent owners employing incompetent people. You can’t just shrug your shoulders and blame everything on rules that everyone has to abide by. Parachute payments weren’t whinged about when we were receiving them, and I wonder if fans of Luton, Peterborough, Millwall and others whose losses aren’t subsidised by billionaire owners complain as much as we do?

There’s plenty the billionaire owners can spend on without FFP rules being a factor. Simple things like stadium and pitch maintenance are two of them. There’s no hiding behind the FFP excuse for the neglect in these areas.

Keeping the ground neat and tidy would be a start, and doing basic repairs. Maybe if we bothered to do this we might be able to sell some advertising and actually bring some money in to contribute to the playing budget. Instead we have pretty much nothing but Venky’s logos plastered all over the place, because the people those idiots have charged with running the club are out of their depth and under no pressure. They let players contracts run down and sell players on the cheap.

Easier to blame it on the fans for not spending, and the nasty rules than acknowledging we are badly run from top to bottom though.

Slight tangeant here people but where do we genuinely see rovers in say five years time, surely this loss making can't go on forever?

I was at this game I think. Those were the days.

I remember this ,sat in the Darwen end lower and the nobbers above ,probably not the brightest move with allsorts of shite raining down all night.Went to the away leg at dump dale,no roof on the away end and it pissed down all night and we got beat 1 0!

That was excellent as well as hilarious.

Is there anything similar out there for the time period between then and now?

I remember we were going through a manager a week at one point and there seems to be some suspicion from a few that the club is still being controlled by an agency to some degree.

I decided to vote with my feet the day that coward was announced as the manager full time. I feel that is the only power I still have in this situation as a fan.

I'm very proud of the fans for making his position untenable. However, the real cancer that is draining the life out of the club is the owners.

I have not nor will I attend a match or give a single penny to the club as long as they are involved.

I'm totally with you on this ,my daughter has asked a few times if I could take her to the football for the first time but as long as I've got a hole in my arse I won't be taking her or putting a penny into the club until our shithouse owners pack up and clear off

Let's hope an acceptable response is forthcoming.

    Also, 👏

Thing is ,say this is brought to the attention of the powers that be (don't laugh) down at ewood who is gonna police it ,can you imagine that wanker mowbray trying to reprimand Dack ??

Footnote:when I typed Dack in ,it corrected me and put sack instead, if fucking only!

For those who want to believe there were no skeletons in the closet fine. I am sure some people would also like to say that the story still available if you click the link below, is bull, but for the open minded amongst us and especially those who haven’t read it, take a look....http://roversrevisited2.blogspot.com/2016/09/good-money-if-you-can-get-it.html?m=1

Interesting reading,a few people on here saying nothing untoward has gone on at our beloved club and that if it had where is your evidence, the evidence will be long gone and everyone involved will be squeaky clean ,don't need to be a legal expert to figure that out

They've been here 11 fucking years and still haven't got the BASICS right for running the club. We were once up there with the best run clubs in the country, now any old bull shitter who knows a friend of a friend gets on the top table.

Fucked with em fucked without em!!!

I'm no business guru but surely  in a large organization like theirs there are accountants/ moneymen who advise that a loss making arm of the business should be cut adrift, I know the venkies will have the final say but I imagine eyebrows must be raised in board meetings when it's announced that that obscure football club in England has lost another 20 million quid.Doesnt make any sense

Nobody has had a points deduction yet so I'd wait and see if anyone actually gets docked any points and if so how many before we go down the road of applauding our approach.

We can rest assured that there will be no replacements lined up for anyone because nobody at the club will have a clue if there is any money to spend or permission from Venkys to do anything.

I see that Waggott is back on blaming Covid for our collapse last season and now we have been able to reopen all our facilities everything is much better.

This is the CEO of the football club, coming up with cock and bull nonsense excuses to try and cover for his mate's poor performance last season. How mental is this club?

He's going to have another look at getting a Desso pitch. Hope it goes better than everything else he's looked into that hasn't happened.

I'm careful not to scroll down to the comments section because I'd lose my rag if I read them.

Yeah, I'd swerve reading the comments section if I were you,the amount of people blowing maggot (in-between all the petty squabbling) is pretty depressing

Rank incompetence isn't against the rules.

Derby been cooking the books for ages. There were red top articles about how the betting company had sponsored Rooney's signing and that's why he had No. 32.

Dodging up a stadium sale too wasn't it. All being done in plain sight.

No surprise they've been nailed. There's bending the rules, and there's taking the absolute piss.

    Edit: Errrr allegedly.

Would Wycombe now have grounds for legal action,by that I mean they've played by the rules and we're relegated by one point and lost out on the money generated by being a championship club.Derby on the other hand have blatantly driven over the rules and benefitted from it

How could they be any worse? At least they live here! If they owned the club that could be the catalyst for more ethnic fans to turn up. After all, Blackburn is a pretty small town without them!

As for "how would they finance buying the club?", you would be aware they just bought Asda so I"ll assume they would manage that easily enough!

This is my point, they haven't bought asda ,it's all borrowed money and as we all know you need deep pockets to run a football club which they don't appear to have

  12. Interested to hear opinions on this ,I've seen a few people advocating the ISSA brothers buying out venkys and taking over but I can't see why .Venkys ,although thick as shit are genuine multi millionaires whereas from what I can see the ISSA bros are asset rich but not cash rich so how could they finance it going forward, also whilst obviously good business people what's to say they wouldn't be like Venkys and totally inept at running a football club?
