No because ur positivity is suspicious to say the least. U never have a bad word to say about venkys the team or manager despite the poor form or the way venkys have dismantled rovers in the last decade. There needs to be balance and on the contrary I praised Mowbray earlier in the season when rovers were playing well. Maybe u do have a balanced view but I've never seen it on here
I have my view, that's it. I resent being called names because of it. If you want to spit your dummy out for years on end that's up to you, just don't expect everyone else to agree with you.
-
So you are behind the team, not the manager but you won't go because of the owners and if someone else is positive about the manager and team they are a Venky plant. One way traffic with you.
What if Venkys go and Mowbray stays? Will you come back then? What if Mowbray goes and Venkys stay. Will you come back then?

I'm behind the team not the manager. The team would do alot better without Mowbray
A well trodden cliche. If you were behind the team you would get yourself down to Ewood and get behind them, when they need you most.

We're in the playoffs? We are in a play off position. The way we've played that might not last. Does this offset a decade of mismanagement? I'm sure u are a venkys plant
I'm a 'venky's plant' (whatever that means) based on what?
Feeling positive about where we currently are? In with a shout of the play offs?
Boycott the team if you want, your choice, but don't have a go at people who are behind the manager and team.

I assume it was along the lines of Trav, Lenihan and Dack saying 'this shit, Dacky's coming on and Sam's playing through the middle. Writing was on the wall when Dack wasn't warming up at half time.
You assume 🤣

What good work? Midtable mediocrity with one rather fortuitous promotion push? Some managers achieve that within 2 years. Some within a year
Some managers ripped us off
Some managers said the fans spiked their drink.
Some managers had us in freefall
Some managers threw their rattle when they didn't get the funds they demanded.
This manager has made us a top six team in the Championship.- 2

No doubt at all, promotion or not, he should be offered another contract to carry on the good work.

Tony tinkering again?
No. Tony, the manager who has us in the play off spots, picking what he thinks is the best team for this game with the resources available to him.
Come on Rovers

Nonsense.
Any club worth its salt will not have a five and a half year plan to go from bottom or close to bottom (when Mowbray arrived) to 11th.
At this rate, a fair few of us will never see Rovers in PL again.
Think Mowbray was taken from the managerial scrap heap and has been able to considerably top his pension pot up in a pressure free environment for over five years. Nice work if you can get it..........................................
Don't be silly.
Look at Leeds. Relegated from the PL in 2004. 3 seasons in league 1. 16 years out of the PL.
It took them 10 seasons to get promoted to the PL after promotion from league 1.
The manager is doing a great job with the resources available to him.- 2

I thought Rothwell had a superb game - he looked more like the complete centre midfield player than he has done at any time at the club. Begrudgingly you have to give some credit to TM who has often called out his lack of defensive nous to play centre mid.
Perhaps he wasn't as effective driving forward as he can be - but offered good balance and workrate.
Why begrudgingly?

You are the one who needs to back his accusation up with facts, not me.
Show how Mowbray has "burned through £120m of the owners money" Shortfall for wages is not him burning through their money and you know it. You are in a minority among the fanbase, most of us are behind this manager and what he is achieving.

Wow!
I was expecting a poor response, but not as weak as that.

We were incredibly unlucky to go down with that points tally.
And the PPG stats he achieved would have had us around top ten over a season. He was not to blame for the relegation and brought us back up at the first attempt.
Here we are now 2nd in the Championship. He's a good manager.

I can and many I’ve spoken to a few colleagues and friends who are now rather envious of the youth based model we are using.
It will upset a few but I think we’ve turned a bit of a corner in general. Fingers crossed this continues!
The manager (who I would’ve replaced in the summer) has given more debuts to youth players than any manager in our history…
Serious question, IF Tony got us up AND kept us up could he be considered our greatest manager EVER? When you look in context at what he inherited in terms of players and culture and what his net spend has been…you’d be hard pushed not to give that consideration…
I mean, if he got us up to the PL he’d have to make our top 3 best managers EVER, right?
Would we end up telling our grandkids the story of woe and how Lemon drizzle Tony took us to the promise land!!? I’ll leave you with that one 😊
Definitely one of the best. Horses for courses though.
Could Mowbray have handled Jack's millions and been a draw for Shearer / Sutton etc to sign? Could Dalglish have worked for the Venkys within FFP?

That's Mowbray. Round pegs in square holes wherever possible.
No, that's modern management. Players that can perform in multiple positions.
Essential on a tight budget.

Haven't we used our 5 loan spots now with Giles coming in?
the limit of 5 relates to the matchday squad. We can have as many loanees as we like, but only 5 in any matchday squad.

He went into detail saying how he totally understood the situation that Rothwell found himself in, used an example of when he was in it himself and ended up quadrupling his wage and asked fans not to get on his back.
He also said that it was his decision rather than Rothwell's decision to not take him to Luton.
The furore that his interview has caused doesn't match what he actually said.
As usual

completely agree, but how unprofessional of Tony Mowbray to leak to the press about everything.
Mowbray isnt naive he knows what fans are like and knew theyd get this abuse.
Come on!
Stop trying to lay the blame for everything at Mowbray's door.
He's doing a great job and we're 2nd in the league.

He's had years to notice and this is the second transfer window where we don't appear to have prioritised a goalscorer despite losing a prolific one. I hope we get someone in.
And yet with the players we've got, only Fulham have scored more goals than us this season.

You’re right. I’m going to hide every post on this discussion board unless it’s factually proven to be correct. We’ve been doing it wrong all of this time, allowing people to discuss speculation, what where we thinking?!
Claiming that a player isn't injured because he posts a photo of himself with his kids isn't speculation, it's just pot stirring.

No, they haven't. Have a read of the TK interview today.
The animosity aimed at Mowbray on here is disgusting IMO
