Right, I wasn’t sure about that.. thanks for the clarification.

Neil really improved our rolling xGD stats and we’re just starting to see some reflection of that in results. I feel somewhat optimistic, which makes a real change after the last six years or so.

Two teams in reasonably good form then, hopefully a decent game.

Hope for a good game also and thank you for your posts.

And as a side note:Are you Chilean due to the Universidad avatar?Or did someone here give to you as a joke because of BBD lol?

No matter who the manager is Stoke always seem to be fairly direct and physical, the sort of team Rovers traditionally struggle against. They are rightly regarded as a big club and have a recent Premier League pedigree. They have a good manager and represent the type of opposition that Rovers often trip up against when we're seemingly on the cusp of success. The pessimism is probably due to a combination of those factors.

Thanks friend for the good response. And I can understand better now the feelings going into this one, but I am still optimistic about our chances regardless.

  3. Can someone explain the Stoke love in? I really don't get it. They have won 3 and lost 2 in their last 5, not really tearing it up. Will it be easy? Of course not, no game in the Championship is, but we can get a result of that I have no doubt.

Will say it again:They are 16th for a reason. That's not me being arrogant, that's just what it is.

  4. Again all these moronic Burnley fans posting on here just to to try to get some shots and points on people they more than likely will never meet in person.Juvenile and immature in the extreme.I know all of them that come on here do not act like that and understand why the mods say they are welcome, but will say it again I just personally do not see the point of posting somewhat regularly on a rivals forum.

Let them have their time in the sun as it were and win the league, still wouldn't piss on one if they were on fire.

  5. Yes Stoke are starting to get some form, but they are still 16th for a reason.Overall, this season has not been one of huge success for them.Gayle and the other attackers they have will bode problems for our back line, but I am confident we will go into this one and get a result due to the confidence we have throughout the camp right now.

Yes a draw would not be the end of the world in the grand scheme of things, but see no reason we can't get the win.

    2-1 Rovers Dolan and Travis.

No doubt about it, the signing of Thomas and the way Costello has grabbed his chance has made all the difference. We're now dangerous down both wings.

Hyam brilliant today but difficult to pick just one out. It's no mean feat to take on and outplay Sheff Utd with 4 academy graduates in the first 11,5 if you include Dolan.

Dolan may yet turn out to be one of the most inspired signings we've seen.

Agreed. He just keeps getting better and better every game and you can tell his love for playing for the Rovers is 100 percent genuine. Great crop of youngsters we have right now for sure.

  7. Another great win from the boys. Dolan to Pickering was superb and really should have won by more goals. Loving how JDT is getting the best out of these guys and how confident everyone looks on the pitch. Not just in themselves but in their teammates.Worlds away from what Mowbray was getting out of them the latter part of his tenure.

Proud of the guys and now on to Stoke which I think another 3 points will be ours.

Just keep on cementing that place in the playoffs boys.

  8. Be full of confidence about this one gents.Hellfire I am. I really think we are on the up in more ways than one with JDT and his philosophies are finally starting to come to fruition. Will it be easy? Of course not as Sheffield, regardless of current form or not, deserve to be where they are in the table and will pose a very stiff challenge.

However, we are a squad full of self beliefe right now and that can really carry you far in this beautiful sport we all love. Need to take our chances when we get them, no silly mistakes, and just continue to believe and follow what JDT and our teammates are trying to do.

    2-1 Rovers Dolan and Sammie.

First priority will be a new manager.

I can't see JDT sticking around with this shit show after the whole O'Brien debacle.

I don't think you are giving JDT enough credit. Is he frustrated about this whole thing?More than likely sure. But that doesn't mean he is gonna say piss on it and abandon the project he has going here, he has more fortitude than that imo.

  10. Disaster as far as how it makes our backroom look. But in the grand scheme of things player wise, not too upset with it. O'Brien is a decent player, but not as incredible as I think some fans feel that he is and/or that big of a difference maker.

Don't think it will affect other clubs dealing with us in the future either. If a deal is to be made, it will be. Just hope we are more intelligent and prudent about it next go round.

Chelsea need to stand by Potter and back him. They have signed lots of players so clearly will take time to gel. Training sessions must be awful when you got over 30 players to work with. Bohely and his merry men need to back him.

Also its great to see Chelsea supporter trust come out and call out the people sending deaths threats to Potter and his family. uncalled for and these people need finding and jailing for it

I don't really agree with this. Yes they have a lot of new guys who need to get better acquainted with each other, sure. However, talent wise alone they should be getting better results, gelling or not. Boehly has been the textbook definition of backing your manager:The obscene amount of money they spent proves that. And well yes death threats are always uncalled for, its just a sport.

Not saying Potter will be gone tomorrow, but let's be realistic: He is very much on a short leash and should be waking up every morning soaked in sweat.
