I think Dickov knew that Mark Hughes was going to bring in 1 maybe 2 quality strikers and he knew that he would probably be warming the bench next season so he decided to move on to get regular first team fooball.He did a good job at Rovers without being sensational I thought he might have gone to Sheffield Utd but it looks like its Man City.

Does anyone think Brett Emerton should leave in the summer. I think he should because he is obviously not good enough for the Premiership. I hope he has a good World Cup so he can leave probably Abroad.

Are Man Utd the luckiest team on the planet. No way that was a penalty (superb save Brad) if Saha meant to put that shot where it ended I will bare my arse on the centre circle of Ewood and Hughsey PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE buy another striker or two because Kuqi for all his effort is not good enough for the premier league. Saying that why have a big striker like Kuqi and not put any decent crosses into the box until he has left the field. I like players that put in 100% every game but sometimes those sort of players don't win you game sometimes you need quality and apart from Bellamy and Tugay (what the hell was he doing for Sahas Goal) we haven't got it We need quality please JW and the board please give MH some money to make sure we get into Europe

I feel sorry that Matt has left the club he was a great player that always gived 100 % and he had a great touch and for somone who wasn't that tall he could beat alot of big centre back in the air and who could forget that night at Deepdale and that day at Cardiff.
Good luck Matt I for one would welcome you back at Ewood whatever team you played for. Even the Dingles

I think it has to be an English manager Big Sam or Alan Curbishley someone with pride and passion someone to motivate them (if you need motivating when you are playing for your country) and someone to give the players a rocket at half time if they are playing crap. Sven was OK when he first come but i think he has let the players have to much say on tactics. We must have been the laughing stock of world football nearly as bad as Scotland getting beat by Costa Rica. Was it me or did Sven look like a lost schoolboy sat behind Steve MacClaren.
Sorry Sven but I think you should either grow some balls or let someone else who has some manage our country

You think we'd get immune to this b******t but it really gets on my t1ts the way the Press cant wait to have a go at us for everything all the way through the 90s it was "Millionaires loose to Minnows". When we got relegated they had a go because we had spent a lot of money . I cant recall them having a go at Boro when they spent Millions and Millions on foreign @#/? and still got relegated,how much have Newcastle spent and STILL won F**k all. Now Mark Hughes has come in and steadied a sinking ship they have a go about our aggressive football. Well I would rather have played aggressive football and stayed up than played pretty football and gone down.

Excellent signing but like a lot of people I just hope he settles down and proves what a good striker he is instead of proving what a little s**t he is. Surely that is our only big money signing of the summer the wallet must be empty now musn't it

I think Hughes will cross that bridge when he comes to it. The plan seems to be get Cole and McCarthy. He will consider youth buys next season depending on how things turn out, it is hard to say whether Jansen or any of the young strikers will bloom over the next twelve months.
Signing a fourth striker would be a waste, the next target would surely be a central midfielder. Sparky has said as much.
ps. If Benni is unable to join I would guess that MH might settle for Cole and Kuqi and look for an attacking central midfielder for circa 3 million. This would probably force us to play 451 but hopefully with a bit of skill on board (Dunn anyone?) it might be quite entertaining.
This is not ideal but hardly terrifying for next season....
pps. Just read a couple of pages back and have now found out Dunn is injured until October, ho hum. Substitute any likely looking name for that player.
Dunn has got to prove his fitness before we even think about him

Who cares what the Stadium is called aslong as it is still Blackburn Rovers playing there and we are in the Premier League. What would you rather have Ewood Park in the Championship or the ******* Stadium, Ewood, Blackburn in the Premiership. I know what I would have if I had the choice. If we have to change the name to get investment into the club so be it Accrington Stanley didnt mind.Beggars cant be choosers

What about Henning Berg he came back and did a fantastic job for us. If Cole can keep fit I think it would be a good short term move for Rovers but they need a younger striker as well
How often is a player a success when returing to a old?
How much is his he going to cost with a transfer?
Will get the same wage has he had when he was at the club before?

Excellent appointment, my first choice, glad to see that the board have listen to the fans and the players well done JW. Heres hoping for a good season and lets hope Hughsey has brought some luck with him so we might actually get a penalty this season.

What about Mark Hughes. He knows most of the players in the squad and knows their limits and according to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph he is the players choice. Well Craig Short anyway.

I think if we do sign him we probably wont see him for at least 3 to 4 weeks thats what it will take for Hughsey to get him fitter and leaner . I think he will be missing a few Saturday nights out to be honest.
