  1. Hi everyone,

I'm moving house, and having a clearout. I've got a handful of programs (about 30? Home and away, most from games I attended, but a couple that came from those footy programme collection things you sent off for as a kif before the Internet was invented), two Blackburn rovers "nut" figures (i.e. clay nuts in Rovers kits), and a ceramic rovers door hanging thingy. Oh, and a plastic Shearer figure from a cereal box, back from when he was good (so in a rovers kit, naturally). It so blobby though it could be any blond haired player (oh yeah, back when he had hair too!).

Anyway, I just want rid of this, but I don't want to chuck it in the bin, and if I give it to a charity shop in Bristol (where I live), no-one will ever buy it. If someone covers postage (weight is about 2.5kg, so just a few quid), they can have it. I suppose if you happen to be in Bristol, or anywhere near Paddington in fancy London, I could probably just meet up and hand over.

I've got a picture of the lot if anyone's interested.

    Cheers,

    Leon

  2. Yep, he's awful.

He was brought in to sit in front of the back four, and put a boot in. When he did have the ball there was always either the midfield just in front of him, or the defence behind so he never had to pass more then 10 yards!

I don't think he has anything like the quality to play in a 4 man midfield in the premiership. Tugay should have started, but I can only assume that Hughes was hoping Mokoena would disrupt arsenal much as the notlob lot do.

  3. I was playing last night, and when I got the bar after and saw the result, I just wasn't really bothered.

[edit: not playing for rovers :-) 8 a-side in Bristol!]

I was happier that Crewe had got level with the Red Scum (shame how that turned out)!

I'm more concerned that by losing 2 in a row, it's the beginnings of a losing habit. A draw is a minimum at the weekend. (Although I think we'll win).

  4. However, thn you have to add in:

    Souness- spent £50m

    Hughes- spent £7m

And you get the REAL picture.  He's not even a very good chequebook manager any more!  And the gulf in points is only widening in Hughesy's favour.

    It's all good

And while we're at it, look at the respective postitions of the two clubs. Rovers have gone up, while Newcastle are going down...

  5. A 0-0 or maybe a flukey 1-0 to Rovers is a good as optimistic as I can get, but we do have a chance.

We have been defending well lately. If we can maintina concentration for 90 mins + injury time, we may be able to shut them out. If we're really luck we'll get a goal from a set-piece, or just some total fluke (like Duffs winner last night).

I haven't given up yet! Is this match on Sky?
