Not particularly helpful at this point, but worth bearing in mind for the future: the open training sessions which are usually organised as part of Pre-season are a great opportunity for getting signatures. My daughter went down last summer and got just about everyone of note who was on the books at the time - No Dom Hyam unfortunately. As you can see here TK was running out of space!
I've not heard of those but could be a great alternative for the Christmas Fair 👍

Maybe some of the posters on here will have some contacts within the club.
The only way that I could envision completing this task involves lurking around the back yards and gardens of the Ribble Valley hoping to encounter one of your desired targets.
We do beg your pardon that we are in your garden

Sorry to distract from tonight's main event but I'm a governor at a local primary school and I'd like to get a ball or a shirt signed by some of the players which we can then use a prize in the raffle at our summer fair (I'd buy the ball/shirt first obv - we don't want it to be given to us for free).
Does anyone have any experience of how to get this done? I've emailed a few management contacts at Rovers but heard nothing back.
Is the best thing to do just to hang around Brockhall looking a bit pathetic (not difficult) and gesture at my ball to passing Range Rovers?
Thanks,
Hugechin

Carlos Villanueva rang a bell so I googled him and there he was. Came on loan 2008/09

Craig Skinner is one of those who came in at a similar time to Lenny Johnrose, Jason Wilcox, etc. Left as part of the Walker revolution I guess.
Can't remember what happened to him after he left Rovers
Did he come on as a sub in the play-off final and try to put a cross in but completely missed the ball?
Actually that might have been Lee Richardson

What about Bobby Mimms? Loved the guy. A family member was an acquaintance of his and gave him my autograph book before one Christmas and when it came back in the New Year it had been signed by most of the squad.

Chris Sulley!

Brian Kidd signed a player called Burton O'Brien who was Scottish/South African. Saw more of him on Championship Manager than in real life

Does anyone remember Lee Makel? Supposed to be the new Paul Gascoigne

Frank Talia a reserve keeper. Not so much forgotten but Roy Wegerle isn;t talked about much. Always remember seeing him score against Sheff Wed in the 4-2 at Ewood and kissing to the crowd. That was some collapse that night.
David May?
Gary Tallon was always in the team photos but never played.
Saw these names in the match day programme but can't put a face to them. Do remember Rovers playing QPR and before the game Wegerle stood chatting to Ray Wilkins on the halfway line doing some stretches. Funny what you remember

Couple spring to mind, remember Pete Thorne bagging hat-trick against Chorley pre-season, never broke through but had decent career in lower divisions
Patrick Anderson, think off memory could be wrong he made his debut against sheff wed away? Never happened for him here but then played for some of biggest clubs in Europe afterwards including barcelona, bought him same week as Berg if i remember.
Think I was at that preseason game. Remember Bob Dewhurst playing and thinking "who the hell is that?!"

Alan Wright was a good fullback before we signed greame le saux. Remember the summer after we won the league. Dalglish stepped down then Ray harford took over instead of signing from a position of strength the only player we brought in was matty Holmes. We were linked with players like Zidane. That summer was our downfall
Forgot about Matty Holmes but now you've mentioned him I can picture his ears

Tony Dobson came in a double deal with Steve Livingstone, coincidentally from the club we've just bought Hyam from. Tony was a left footed CB and SV was a bit target man. It was the first inkling that we had a bit of money and that Sir Jack had got involved. It was something like £450k for the pair of them. Don Mackay bought them iirc.
In my memory Steve Livingstone and Duncan Shearer have blended into one flame headed super striker

Anyone else remember Richard Brown or Tony Dobson?
Nine year old me saw them as important first team players back in 1991 (I don't know how accurate my memory is about that - they might well have been crap).
Any other players that were regular first teamers but hardly ever get a mention?

Hope he pulls through. Something needs to be down about this surge in n0bish behaviour at football matches up and down the country.

He dosnt have a pic? Its just his stats (which dont look too great to be honest)
Speaking of pics though, it still hasnt put me in it I must have sent it in wrong. Did anyone else apply? Have you been put in the game? I remember a couple of years ago the soccer am team were all in it
Just wanted to see a screenshot of the 22 goals in 10 games
I'm in the game and believe it or not I am the Burnley youth keeper

I think I have found the best player in the game.
Alberto Bueno - he is now 22 and I got him on a free but had to pay 1m compensation.
He has played 10 games for me now and scored 22 goals - HE IS AWSOME
Wow... post a pic

Came from behind to win the Euro Cup last season with only a couple of new signings

I used to love this show but now its gone the same way as A Question of Sport. It hasn't been the same since Des Lynam left for ITV and replacing Steve Rider with the fat brummie off Working Lunch just about sums up how high a priority sport is for the beeb.

I downloaded a couple of free adventure games but they were like the old style text based games.
Alright for killing time on the train though.

Another question: How do you get a list of all players available for loan/out of contract/soon to be out of contract? I'm trying to find a new left-back and it's murder.
Go to player search, then choose filter, then choose customise and then it will give you the option of filtering out everyone except players who are listed for loan, contracts are expiring or position or whatever you want really.

After you have installed the new patch don't forget to go to:
C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\data\db\701\lnc
...and delete the folders German, Japan and All, before starting a new game or you will be stuck with Jens Musterman.
