  1. That was the first home European tie were I have felt we were up for it. I don't just mean the crowd but the managment as well. Thank you Mr Hughes and co I am a very proud man tonight.

I have been to all the european games at ewood, as I imagine many people on here have, and I can honestly say that last night it felt like one of those special european nights that they talk about on TV when usually Liverpool are playing.

Full credit to everybody who turned up. Hats off to you all.

When Rovers qualified for Europe for the first time and we were drawn against Trelleborg I was at the ticket office at 7am thinking it would be a sell out. Call me an idiot if you will but I was so excited and presumed everybody else would be. That night was a big disappointment seeing us draw with a team who had to borrow our shorts.

I as a Blackburn Boy born and bred. I am immensley proud tonight and will be smiling for weeks at that victory tonight. I understand that the premiership is our bread and butter but tonight felt like Blackburn standing up and saying "Yes we are small, and no we don't have a mozart or anybody close but F***********CK YOU!! you we are a small town but we are proud and successful and your not going to take that away from us"

    LONG MAY IT CONTINUE!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s please Mr Draw maker let us draw teams that cost less than £250 to visit and have cheap beer :)

    Love you Rovers xxx

p.p.s I also must give credit the "urr urr urrrr come on and do the Nonda" people (To the tune of the konga) highly amusing I was singing it all the way home lol

We started the "Shaba" conga song, in the walkersteel i'm guessing you sit!!!! If only it had spread round the ground do do do come and do the NONDA

  2. I know this is in an international message board, and most people on here have an affinity with the club rather than the town, but is nobody bothered about what Henchoz said when he left last time? He basically called Blackburn a dump if I remember rightly. Now he expects the people from the dump to shell out for his luxury lifestyle again. Are we mugs or what?

Don't know, dont care as i'll be drinking. I imagine the Crown will be packed out.

Seriously, theres little around the ground now due to residents complaints, so i'd suggest park in the centre and walk up to the ground.

See you at the crown then Ste

Don't forget though Furn, only £1 odd a pint in the greyhund, have a few in there first get you in the mood!

  5. Has anyone been on this forum? You should read the ballcocks and hatred for us that most of the stanley fans are spewing... they are telling us about bad atmospheres and having no fans??? WTF? They had one of the lowest attendances in the conference last season despite leading it for most of the season!!! And we will see tonight how loud their 'famous' clayton end is  Stanley have sold 700 tickets so far for there cup final btw.

  6. Interesting reading the Dingles match report from Saturday...apparently the pitch resembles a sand dune and many are questioning how the hell they got the FA to pass the ground as fit for league football.

Dingle fans were in all areas(like we will be on the 19th) but halfway through the game a tannoy announcement was made stating the stands were now 'segregated'!!!

    Got a link?

  7. What are you frightened of SAS?...there will be upwards of 2,500- 3,000 Rovers fans there, any Burnley knuckle dragger numb enough to try his luck wouldn't last very long.

There wont be any trouble anyway.

How can you be so sure? Lots of Burnley fans have started watching stanley and in fact there is a small alliance of Burnley/Leeds/Accy hooligans, all from accy, who watch stanley regularly and this will be right up their street. I can't remember who accy played last season but one match in particular was very rough especially around the pubs on whalley road, and also stanley fans were involved in trouble away at york.

I'm not saying anyone has any reason to be scared or trying to put any one off but I think it's a bit naive to suggest that this doesn't have the potential for trouble. The good thing is its on a wednesday night so most of the young burnley idiots will have school in the morning!!!

  8. Make sure you all visit the Greyhound pub on whalley road just down the road from the ground... cheapest beer in lancs!!!

I'm talking just over a pound a pint for strong lager by the way!!! Also the crown is ok but more pricey... its even a quid a song on the jukebox :o The last time FC United played at accy they put a big marquee in the garden of The Oaklee also. Doubt we will take as many 'drinking' fans as them to the match though.

Think that will have to have a pit stop in there then on way to ground.

Depends if drinking in town centre first :):rover:

Anyone no when tickets on sale because i would like to get it and no i am sorted

Oh and drinking in Accy town centre could be a bit ropey as i'm sure the dingles will attend this in big numbers... Unless someone has had a bright idea and arranged a friendly for them somewhere far away that evening!

  9. Back to the topic of sick chants, there are plenty going round and have been for years and years. What about all the inbred chants United fans aim at us, 'You're going down on your sister' etc. Maybe thats not too sick just insulting!

I heard quite a lot of sick chants on the train to Cardiff for the Worthington Cup final. On my train (that I got on at Crewe) there was Spurs fans in one carriage and all the rest of the carriages were filled with Rovers fans. Such chants as 'Gas the Jews, Gas the Jews, Gas the Jews' were aimed at the Spurs fans with replies featuring the asian population of Blackburn and what they do with white girls !!!

  10. To be honest I would put Bolton into the 'Rival/We Hate' catergory also, at the very least in the same as Brum and spuds. In a couple of seasons we won't really care about Spurs and Brum, it's only because of recent transfers that a dislike for them has emerged, however Bolton will always be a rival. As for Accy Stanley they have been in the 'we don't care' section for years as they have ben off the radar, but now they are back in the league and their fanbase grows, I think they will try to forge a rivalry with us. Already a lot of people in Accy/Ossy etc dislike Blackburn as a town.
