  1. Take the point and move on, we are one step closer to somehow surviving in this division despite our own best efforts.

We're also one step closer to seeing the back of this shi*tshow of a season.

I will literally take a flight over from Ireland to pack up Gallagher's locker at Brockhall to see him out the door as quick as possible. I was always in the hope that once he became the main man following Armstrong and Brereton leaving he would show some promise but he is actually a total joke of a forward. I've never seen any frontman with as little attacking common sense as that lad.

If I can assist in getting Dolan, Pears, Hyam and Wahlstedt out the door aswell then I'd consider it a bonus. I'll pick up a gate on my way over it might provide more cover than Pears between the nets

QPR, Millwall and now behind at Plymouth, FFS ! I know which relegation threatened team they will beat 🙈

In fairness we will give them a helping hand by letting Hyam gift them 2 goals!

This organised, defensive football where all players give 110% effort and show guts is just not our thing!

I've always sensed a bitter vibe from Hyam, more so this season. Can tell that he didn't really want to come here, but Coventry gave him no choice - if they wanted him back I bet he wouldn't even hesitate.

He has no passion whatsoever for Blackburn Rovers, his heart isn't in it - yet he was made Captain.

Rip the armband clean off him, play Carter for the rest of the season and tell his agent to find him a new Club.

Yup, I would take anything between 500k and 1m for him now, just to get him out the door. As captain he is doing more harm than good with his attempts to shush the crowd and then having a go at fans for booing.

Regardless of what division we end up in I just want him stuck to bench now, play Carter and Wharton for the rest of the season, with O'Riordan in if Carter is not yet ready.

Andy Bayes and Elliott Jackson should be all over this, constantly asking when the promised January window review will be provided, by Swag or Greg the 🥚.

That and the message that came from the club after the McGuire transfer failed, that they were going to pursue a pre contract agreement for the player to join in the summer. I wish either had the guts to call them out on it, is it still being actively worked on or was it just a nonsense sound bite to pull one over the fans.

I just can't give any credibility to the 'oops, sorry, we forgot to press the button' excuse.

Both the club and the individuals involved have processed hundreds of transfers without any such incident, over many years.

All of a sudden, we see 3 cock-ups in 12 months.
It simply cannot be accidental or incompetence.

And it cannot be allowed to be swept under the carpet as such.

Yeh this is 100% deliberate as far as I am concerned. For it to happen where 2 of the 3 failures were for biggish money/wages yet we see frees and loans coming in with relatively no issue. Oh and no problems with submitting forms or paperwork when we are selling players I notice.

An actual attempt at sabotage by Waggott and Venkys and then a muddled up sh*t-show attempt to appease fans by having a group of footballers cobbled together.

Stinks to the high heavens just like everything else Rovers this week. Just when you think the club couldn't embarrass itself further it keeps surprising us.

  6. After the last few days I was checking the Rovers page on Facebook and its got to a stage where I fully believe there are Venkys plants employed by the club who are putting up a good 1/3 of the posts.
Some of the content there is just beyond mental. The lad below with his 172 likes about how selling our prized assets for 18m and just bringing in loans and freebies is the sign of smart business. Oh and that we should basically be counting our lucky stars that we have our glorious overlords as no one else would want to own a club that is one of only 7 teams that has won the Premier League!! I despair, I really do.

  7. Is there anything Rovers Trust can do to reach out to them. If its a randomer they will probably ignore it but if its a group they might find it hard to turn away. Even first of all reach out that a lot of the fans are unhappy with how the paper has portrayed things these 13 years and they have a duty to call things out

  8. I really wish I could just stop caring, because at the moment its just torture. The lads with power to make decisions obviously don't care or (in the case of India) probably have forgotten we even exist.

As others have said the losses are bad enough but the way we carry ourselves as a club is just beyond amateurish and disgraceful, the convenient issues with the paperwork for the second January window in a row. Those in power are actively trying to sabotage the club.

One thing I did yesterday was to unfollow the official Rovers twitter account. With all the shitshow of the last month, them posting out the usual tripe of catering updates and tickets available for Norwich - get behind the lads was just too much. Its nothing really but its the only power I have as far as this club goes!

If Jackson is to believed we should soon know more about how the McGuire loan has somehow fallen apart

I assumed that was all done and dusted, at least the loan til the end of the season? What has happened there?

On the match was there much boos or reaction from the crowd afterwards? The chants against Waggott and Venkys are encouraging. As far as relegation goes, we are goosed as far as I am concerned. People saying that we will be ok this year but will struggle next year, but we are in freefall and too much of the season is still to play for. Right now we look like a total wet blanket that will roll over at the first hint of pressure.

There has to be some accountability for Sigurdson though.  He's surely can't walk on the pitch and not expect to track back

He's the same as all the others though in the last 4 or so months.

Players taking the piss with zero passion or drive because there is no consequences.

Because JDT has half thrown in the towel and refusing to try different approaches as he has zero consequences and knows he is not going to get the sack from Waggott or Broughton.

Because they have zero consequences against an ownership who could not give a toss and probably need to be reminded every 3 months they still own a football club.

Meanwhile the fans have the soul sucked out of them, im literally at the point where I dont care. Which is heart breaking to say.

JdT probably lucky we can't afford to sack him. He's not been backed I know but it's a results business and some of those teams we should be beating

I agree. The cause of our problems is and always will be in India, but it shouldn't take much for a manager to realise we are shot confidence wise, leaking like a sieve and time to move away from tippy-tappy at the back nonsense. Get 5 at the back 2 battlers in midfield and set up as disciplined as possible to eek out points.

JDT is just as bad as Mowbray in his inability to halt a slide or alter tactics if plan A is not working it seems.

  12. Its bonkers as far as I am concerned. Regardless of whether he is getting a game lately (and he absolutely should have been tried at least somewhere in the latest losing run), he is still an experienced head in a squad full of kids. I wouldnt have been a fan of selling him as there should be always a place for him in the team if not the squad, but to just loan him out to a team riding high just seems such an odd decision when we are already at the bare bones for squad depth.

  13. Yep we should totally get him signed up. To mirror what rovers11 mentioned above he didn't have that immediate impact I thought he would but you could point to different reasons for that. He was injured when joining, the fact he was off with Iceland for each international break thus not getting a rest or more time with his team mates, and also that he is obviously not there yet fitness wise.

I think once he gets to full fitness, gets 90+ mins each game under his belt we'll see the best of him. Unfortunately other teams will aswell so we kinda got to move fast on this one to tie how down when he is a bit under the radar right now.

I think if we look at the signings of Tronsdat, Hill and Siggy i reckon it's fair to say if the budget wasn't cut there'd have been another couple of that ilk coming in.

That would have made a big difference so far this season even if we didn't land a talisman forward.

The rug was well and truly pulled and whatever the circumstances that cause them no other ownership in this league has shot itself in the foot and put landed its own obstacles in place to spoil real progress more than this one.

And yet some members of this very board seem to be unable to bring themselves to say anything negative at all about our owners, instead pushing the blame for any and all ills to the management team in this country. Waggot is not without blame of course and by right should have been relieved of his position years ago, but its madness for anyone associated with Rovers not to see that the source of all of our problems are based millions of miles away in Pune.
