Hey guys I just set up a BRFCS league for this world cup score predictions game.

You predict the score of the group games and the winners of the knockout games all the way to the final.

You get points based on your predictions and you can link to them online so people can see how you are getting on!

So sign up here and once you have put in your predictions you can join my league. Looks like there are plenty of people playing already, see this page.

    BRFCS LEAGUE

    The leagueid is: 152

    The leaguecode is 0123

it gives you a thing at the end like this:

  3. Feel only option is to boycott the game.

I think you mean to say that you cannot be arsed to wake up early and pay a little extra

But no doubt you'll be one of those people trying to get the 18k Cup final tickets and take it from those who can be botherd to go for the semie

Well I don't expect to be able to get through BRFC channels if I don't go to the semi, but I will still try any other means at my disposal. Not really affecting those that do go that way am I.

So if you are boycotting the game you won't be watching it on telly either then. Am I right.

No I just won't be attending the fixture, of course I'll be watching the game, it is not about not watching the game, it is about no lining the FA's greedy pockets and consenting to what they are doing.

Then I sincerely hope you don't get one. That's the best definition of a fairweather fan I've ever seen. "I'll go if it's where I want it to be, when I want it to be on and at the price I want, otherwise I'll just whine and say how good a supporter I am" Yeah, right.

No Jan, I'll go when & where it is reasonable and I've reached breaking point.

  4. I've decided not to bother with it.

If it were at Old Trafford, Villa Park etc then fine

The early kick-off is stupid too, its not even the BBC tie, Sky have plenty of schedule space.

Ticket prices and distribution around the ground are a disgrace, the FA is a disgrace.

Feel only option is to boycott the game. One day they may realise that money shouldn't rule football.

Yes I will want a ticket for the final, but that is Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup final and that is a different matter entirely. I'll gladly be shafted for that if I can get a ticket and it will be played at a sensible time.

I think that we need to hit the press now with our reasons for not attending and not let the FA say we are only a little, small town, poorly supported team as their excuse for a shambles of organisation. Because that isn't the case. A reasonable kickoff at Villa Park and we would have sold out our allocation (albeit smaller than the Cardiff allocation).

  5. I'm not looking to sell this cap, but thought this would be the best place to try and gauge a valuation. Other than going to Sotherby's or something, so if you have any idea please let me know.

I've managed to get hold of what I believe to be Bob Crompton's International trial cap.

    Details:

Blackburn Rovers International Trial Cap 1901-1902 - This Football Association International Trial Cap, was issued to players on the verge of full international honours. This particular cap was issued to Robert Crompton of Blackburn Rovers F.C. who indeed won his first full cap in 1902, the same year as this trial cap. Crompton was a right-back who played for England on 41 occassions. (Crompton's name is hand written inside)

The condition of the cap is has a rip at the front. apart from that its in good condition considering its age. The cap was manufactured by Young and Co., (Athletic Outfitters) 36 King William St, London. E.C. The photo's make the cap look brighter than it is, but it is 103 years old.

I'm not sure if there was something in the Arsenal programme about the cap? But I am getting a copy of that sent to me so I'll soon find out.

The greatest all time piece on Crompton is a nice complement to the item.

Anyway, give me an idea of value if you think you can, assuming the cap is genuine, which I haven't been able to verify yet.

    cheers

  6. This is annoying.

Online Price now reduced to £18

But in store they are £11.99

So I ring the club shop to confirm and yes they are that price, but they can't sell them over the phone?!

You can't buy kit over the phone from the club shop anymore?

And if you use the website it will cost you 66% more?

Shopping on the Internet is supposed to be cheaper is it not?

Doesn't make sense to me (or perhaps it does, most Internet users have no idea that they are cheaper instore and will settle for £18, which is a bargain if they weren't going out of date soon)
