  1. Eh?  We lost 1-0 to the Champions, it's hardly a mighty fall is it now?  How did you get on yesterday?  Lost to Sheff Utd I see, says it all really doesn't it.  Only a Burnley fan could come and try to gloat after those results.

I was commenting on the excuse that they cost more than you you muppet. laugh.gif

We lost because we weren't good enough no-one was making excuses however Greg rightly pointed out we shouldn't be too down because despite missing a few players that was still some talent out there. Understand?

Understand? Hmmm not sure after all I am a dingle.

  2. If I'm honest, I think that both teams would normally be on a similar level (with Blackburn slightly ahead, naturally), but the Jack Walker legacy has boosted Blackburn's profile and standing.

I think you'll find that throughout the late 60s/70s/80s, in fact throughout almost the entire history of our two clubs, Burnley have trailed on all accounts.

Having said that, I wouldn't like to fall out with C.C, she's one of the better Burnley fans that are brave enough to come on here and face the unwarranted abuse.

Not wanting to fall out with you either Den...but hmmm when exactly did you start supporting rovers?

Like I said C.C; I'm talking about the entire history of our two clubs, not just when your husband remembers.

    See Philipl's post above.

    LMAO.

And you call us propagandists. (new word if it isn't one already)

Was just talking to my husband a lifelong Burnley fan whereas I started supporting them properly, as in matches rather than because they were my home team, in 1987 when we started going out.

According to him, and of course this could be more Dingle propaganda, we didn't play each other in the league for about 10 years in the 60's and 70's because we were in different leagues.

No surprise there you may say, unless you know that it was because we were in the OLD first division, aka Premiership and you were in the OLD 3rd division aka league 1.

Hmmm and when did you actually return to the Premiership?.... after lots of embarassing playoffs when suddenly as if by magic you could afford to buy expensive players with money no object.

Hmmm... all you postwalker rovers can thank me (or not) for the history lesson.

  4. Your right beat us at incest and talking Bull S**t.

Im just sick of listening and reading the rubbish in the local press and radio

eg scummings who was shooting his big gob before the game now he gone realy quiet.

and p**s head payton talking s**t about the gap closing between the both clubs he must have had alot to drink as i dont think he watched the same game.

And I don't think you did either. On the pitch at Ewood we matched you, perhaps you had a bad night but I spoke last week to a Rovers fan, one of the 900 rolleyes.gif who went to Everton, and was told that in their opinion we were unlucky that night.

Open your eyes, the gap is closing because you no longer have the megabucks to keep buying players who are out of the price range a club like yours should be able to afford.

You can turn around and hurl all the insults you like, incest, inbrEd, (no a btw), small town, yorkshire dingle.... makes no difference to me. I know who and what I am.

You can also hurl the accusation of jealousy but I will deny that, money has ruined this beautiful game, it has priced clubs out of business and fans off the terraces. If I was suddenly blessed with cash I'd have a lot better things to do with my money than pay overpriced boys to run around a pitch.

After getting beat of us the first time dingles smashed there own town up.

Could you translate that line into English please?

  5. They just our jealous poor neighbours living in caves in land that time forgot.

The song your mums your dad your dads your mum, really does sum up Burnley and there football club up.

    Small Town, Small minds

    Small town small mind?

LMAO coming from the someone who just posted what you did that is pretty funny. Hilarious in fact.

  6. I have decided that you want to leave the dark side and come and join the blue and white force.  After reading some of your reply's in threads, you are far to nice to be a dingle.

By the Way - you will be able to pick up a Rovers shirt on Tuesday when you come down to Ewood  tongue.gif

    Muahahahahaha!!

    Dream on

That evil laugh is no where near as evil as it would be if you were a burnley fan. See See I said that you were one of us biggrin.gif

    LOL wub.gif

  8. Getting our tickets this morning.

Hubby wants to come by car, I am dubious, not because of trouble but because of parking and I HATE traffic queues.

The coaches tho blink.gif do you seriously think we liked travelling on those charabangs? No cracks about being afraid of new innovations. tongue.gif

Plus for coaches, straight to the ground, straight away after with police clearing the way.

Minus for coaches..... embarassment factor, paying £3, but petrol in the queues might run to £9 lol.

    Hmmmm.

  9. IQ test anyday.

The point I was making is that as part of my job I visit a number of disaster zones and "trouble" areas, and that Burnley is on a par with many of these.  I am sorry if you find me comments distateful but they obviously hit a sore point.

ps.  Will the game be on Ararbic TV in Dubai next week...i'll have to watch it beachside. mad.gif

    Distasteful? No.

Pathetic? Ridiculous? A bitter diatribe. Those fit much better actually.

If you seriously compare Burnley with Beirut, the Gaza Strip, Baghdad or Lagos then I feel sorry for your employers cos you are obviously living on another planet.

  10. I have only set foot in the town of t'bas****s very rarely: yesterday, 2000 and 1977 being the last 3 occasions.

The striking image as you travel thru the area is that it is "the town that time left behind".  I've been to a few dumps and desolate areas over the years but this place is the dumps being on a par with the worst such as Gaza Strip, Lagos and more recently Banda Aceh.

As for the residents of said town a whole range of adjectives come to mind:  simple; inbreds; animal like ;moronic etc etc.

The most apt description is sub-human.  we must look to build a border wall aroud the hovel, with Israeli style passport control. ph34r.gif

And Preston, Blackburn and the rest of East Lancs are oases (sp?) of charm and splendour?

Get a grip man, comment on the football, the crowd but don't pretend the whole of East lancs is anything other than it is: industrialised and very often derelict awaiting investment from the government's 'regeneration schemes'.

I also take great exception to your classification of the inhabitants. care to go head to head in an iq test? mad.gif

I have no problem with humour as those who know me will testify but you are not in the least bit funny.

  11. Think we're stuck with him until the end of the season.

Just hope Mr Hughes has some strikers in mind as we're very short up front at the minute (in more than one respect).

Yeah you had several players who made Ian Moore look tall blink.gif

Plus the black (am I allowed to say black?) player who was your second sub looked about 12. Does that mean I am getting old? ohmy.gif
