  1. Funny how the comany doesn't really have a website as yet, just a countdown. I do wonder if it is a new company with capital that is starting, or they already exist and have just spent time really overhauling the website to make it super sexy.

They definitely exist I checked out their website when they announced the sponsorship of the Riverside.

Mind you, I find all the mushy 'local lad standing on the Ewood terraces' lines a bit far fetched.

  2. Feel sorry for Willie.

Okay, he may be overweight and disinterested but that's symptomatic of the current regime. Kean clearly picks his favourites and Willie clearly isn't one of them if the rumour that he was one of Vineeth's signings is to be believed.

I'm convinced Willie could do a job in this league. You only have to look at his success in the league cup last season to know he's capable of mixing it with teams outside of the Prem.

It must be pretty galling to know that when you're up against MK Dons, Kean picks an 18-year-old Portuguese lightweight that has only played 45 minutes of football in the UK before last night. It just doesn't make sense.

We have a number of players that you can see desperately want a change in regime. It's written all over their faces. They're just going through the motions at the moment - and rather fortuitously at that.

If we sacked Kean tomorrow and replaced him with a manager that's got half an ounce of common sense, we would become a team that is capable of ripping the opposition apart overnight. The shot in the arm for the players would be that dramatic.

Unfortunately, we're lumbered with Kean for the forseeable future and therefore the squad of surpressed players will continue to be mediocre.

    It's a sad reality.

  3. Boys and girls,

My name is Jonathan Mudd and I'm a season ticket holder living in Aylesbury, Bucks.

Lived in a village called Simonstone for 13 years and that's when I started going to Ewood with my dad. Happy times. First game was the FA Cup draw with Liverpool in 1990/91.

My early career as a motorsport journalist (covering the FIA World Rally Championship) restricted my visits to Ewood but now that I've left motorsport behind, I have the time to proudly take my seat in the Riverside with my dad for every home game.

I have owned my own PR company (incredibly frustrating seeing the hash PAPR and Rovers are currently making of things) for the last three years and look after clients in lots of different business sectors – from Axminster carpet to extracorporeal shockwave therapy devices!

Married with two daughters. Took my seven-year-old to her first game at Ewood last month against Spurs. She has said she'd like to go again...

  4. Imagine someone that had an unsuccessful football career, was sacked three times as an assistant manger and is currently in the relegation zone saying to an ex internationl Arsenal player who worked as assistant manager for Laudrup......

"you are not good enough to be my assistant manager"

It happens – especially if you have the ear of the clueless owners.

  5. Could it not just be that JJ has been given the boot because he's not doing his job properly on the training ground and maybe hasn't connected properly with the players and got the best out of them? Certainly looks that way to me.

I thought the assistant and the first team coach masterminded things on the training ground while the manager merely observed and looked after other bits and pieces...like pouring himself a large glass of red in the changing rooms.

This could be a good move if someone is appointed that has a shred of tactical nouse – something that's clearly been lacking in the Kean/Jensen partnership.

    Will see what transpires.

  6. Hardly a surprise.

I loved Brad but I think we shipped him out at the right time – no matter how hard it was to stomach at the time.

Clearly, he's not playing in the best Villa team but I think it's clear that age is finally catching up with him.

He'd make an excellent goalkeeping coach!

  7. The players have weight goals - he was way below his

He is fat, lazy and not willing to put the extra work in to prove just how good he is.....only 1 person to blame - Benni McCarthy! Dress it up how you want but thats the fact....

Benni's been taking the p!ss out of our great club for far too long and has shown a complete lack of respect for its rich heritage and work ethic.

Going AWOL is the ultimate, selfish insult to his manager, team-mates and all of us fans.

Okay, he sporadically turned the style on when he could be bothered but that's not enough in my book. He could have done much better for us in a match day situation if he'd pulled his finger out in training and met his pre-agreed targets.

I don't blame Sam for clearing a path for his exit and I'm staggered that some people on here think Benni has been hard done by.

We will be a better team without his pour work ethic, we'll be £2m richer and we'll save a considerable amount on his wages.

Getting shut is a no brainer and I can't wait for the deal to be concluded.

    Bye bye fat boy.

  8. You only have to watch Benni in a pre-match warm up to see what a lazy arse he is.

All of the other players go through the drills with dedication and professionalism, but Benni thinks it's clever and funny to just swan about and try to watch whatever game is being shown on the big screen. It's no wonder he hasn't hit his weight targets and this kind of attitude is dangerous for the rest of the squad because other players get sucked into his antics. On Saturday, I saw Chimbonda dicking about as well.

I think he's one of the growing number of players we have that are more interested in picking up their overly-inflated pay cheques, rather than putting in a decent shift.

I think Benni's time is now up.
