  1. I remember watching John Carew as a gangly 17 year old, score a hattrick and then get subbed for having cramp.  Thought he was amazing and remember Caretaker Tony Parkes saying he was too much of a risk for the money they were asking.   Please tell me I dreamt this and we didnt pass up this golden opportunity,

Chapman just shared a video on instagram of himself with Dann Graham and he wrote "the big dog".

Read into that what you will

I also find it interesting that his twitter background still shows him in a rovers kit and it says “Harry Chapman Blackburn Rovers”.

I think he will be coming.  Preferably a season long loan for me.  He can then sign with us from 1st Jan as free agent ( not sure if tribunal fee would be due).

I'll never forget the Cov away 5-0 drubbing in 95. Probably one of the worse Rovers displays ever if you consider the players we had at our disposal. That said the game should never have gone ahead.

Could do with a confidence boost tomorrow but think we'll narrowly go out after ET.

I was there that day too.  Lars Bohinen couldn't see the ball from what I recall and Chris Sutton did the splits in the snow.  I used to live around the corner as was at uni there at the time so had a 5 minute trudge home.

ironically, I am working in Midlands tomorrow and I have conned two non-rovers to come too (poor buggers!).  Let's hope it's not 5-0 again!

  4. i suffer from depression from time time, sometimes i even think about the S word but i would never do it as i know of the heartache and distress it would cause my family if i did, i also have thoughts that maybe there a happier times around the corner so that keeps me going, i either have real highs or real lows, just something that you cant help, i think boredome plays a big part too.

Sorry to hear that. Make sure you keep talking and don't bottle it up. The wider public need to realise that depression is nothing to be ashamed of and is not something that you can pick and choose. Stay positive, keep taking deep breaths and remember that you are a good person!

  5. You've guessed it, Grez isn't my real name

Being honest, rovers weren't my first team. My dad had me supporting liverpool. Mainly because he knew someone who took him to the European final - I got a signed pendant from the Liverpool team and I thought it was pretty cool. I still couldn't really follow them with much passion, so my dad took me to watch man utd. Vs watford. Even though it was an ok game I decided I didn't want to support man utd.

Thankfully my dad took me to watch rovers vs Leicester on the play-off final. After that I was hooked. Been a season ticket holder since.

I sit in the Blackburn end lower and I'm steadily becoming a grumpy old man through watching some of the things going on at rovers!
