Though it’s crazy that Norwich would go above us if they win

UNLESS WBA win tonight ..
If we win our last two games, WBA couldn’t finish above us

Ummm…. no? Can we only write things you’ve denied?

Sadly Sunderland have equalised so now we need to beat Luton.
Unless Sunderland don’t beat Preston on the last day.

Unless we want to finish 5th and pip Coventry. Expecting them not to win their last game against Boro (lose or draw)…
That feels like a ‘beggars can’t be choosers’ kind of situation!

It’s also becoming certain that if we lose on Monday it’s over
And actually if West Brom dont win today, Monday is set up to be far more of a ‘don’t lose’ than a ‘must win’. 3 points or 1 point wouldn’t make any difference to what we’d need at millwall.

No If we draw against Luton and win against Millwall we can finish in sixth on 69 points. But what is certain is that we have to beat Millwall.

Would you take 4 points from the last two games if offered now? Even that could well be enough.

We will beat Luton and Millwall and see where that takes us.
It's that sort of season.
If we do, we’ll probably make it.

I must be the only Rovers fan that can't wait for this season to end.
We've limped to the finish line because we didn't bring in a striker in January - I just want the misery to end at this point and for the rebuild to begin. It's physically painful watching us play without a striker.
Next season we could have a striker banging them in every week, play better football than we have most weeks this season, and be going into the last 3 games without a chance of making the playoffs. I agree it’s a bit of a miracle that we are where we are, but come on you must know anything could happen in these last few games. Who cares if we deserve it or not.

We really don’t have any other option but to go full tilt for a win on Tuesday.
If play offs isn’t enough motivation, the battering we got at the Turd should be.
Make no mistake, the Dingles will be up for it so we have to match them.
Disagree. a point on Tuesday would be our best point of the season. Going into the last two rounds of fixtures in the driving seat? I’d take that all day long.

I actually thought the changes were working until we had to take off JRC and put Thomas there. They lost their space on the left and were resorting to high balls into the box, which to be fair to JDT he could expect would play right into the hands of having three big centre backs there to head them away…
-
Hull beating Middlesbrough now too? What the hell is going on today and can we please just blow the full whistle right now all around the country?

Rovers TV has Adam Wharton at left back lol

I predict Dack comes back into the squad in place of Adam Wharton…

The Huddersfield game gave me hope in the face of our bad form for two reasons: a new formation, and Adam Wharton starting.
At this point in the season, teams have often worked each other out. Opposition managers know how to beat us, or frustrate us. Changing the system means the opposition at worst aren’t sure how we’re going to play, and at best set up to counter the wrong system.
Then we’ve been screaming out for some fresh energy and craft and for someone to step up and be the star of the show for the last few days. Wharton looked like he could be that. Other teams wouldn’t really be focussing on him because they haven’t seen much of him.
So now the question is, are we scrapping all that? Or did JDT just need one more bad game to be convinced? Or will we wait a couple more games until it’s really too later? Seeing the line up on Wednesday will define our season I think
I’m also not sure how I feel about placing all the blame on finishing. Sure it would be great if we could finish our 1 or 2 clear cut chances per game, but the key to scoring goals when you don’t have a natural finisher on the field is to make lots of clear cut chances and we’re not. We also did have a run of games when we finished our 1 chance and won the game even though we didn’t really outplay the opposition.

At home against a lower half team… surely this is exactly the game you’d want Adam Wharton for. I can see us huffing and puffing and not creating much and getting really frustrated and nervous.
Couldn’t watch the game live so I stayed offline until I could watch it. Just finished and yeah… I guess this happened ⬆️
I’m one of jdt’s biggest fans, but how come we all knew this was going to happen (apart from @Sweaty Gussets) but jdt didn’t didn’t? But then also why oh why oh why wait that late to change it? Baffling.

You're asking on here if the Champions League winner has made the right tactical call?
Hopefully Big Dave from MIll Hill ressies 1987-91 will be along shortly to give a detailed analysis. 🙂
It wasn’t rhetorical- I genuinely would love to hear someone say why it might be a good idea. I don’t think it’s likely JDT will pop on here to explain, and in the absence of any other champions league winners here I thought maybe one of the avid football fans that post here might be able to help… Is that crazy?

Can someone whose seen Hull play please tell us why this is actually the right call tactically? Please?!!

I think TK will be back for Huddersfield. Pears has done a solid enough job but there have been enough shaky moments over the last few games to justify bringing back our #1.
I also have a feeling Adam Wharton will start. His cameo showed he’s so clearly superior to Morton and I think he’s been in the cold long enough for JDT to feel like he’s made a point. He might cost us a goal here or there before the end of the season if he becomes a regular, but the way we’re struggling to create chances at the moment it’s probably a risk worth taking.

I bet it’s still 3 at the back: hyam, Wharton and Chrisene. JRC in place of Adam Wharton in the middle. Dolan (or Moran) and Sigurdson wingbacks.
