  1. A month ago I visited to rovers online clubshop to buy some new shirts and shorts and whatever. It looked allright and I even wanted to buy several t-shirts, hats and other rovers clothing. So I went ahead to order... but oh, most of the stuff was sold out, and the other was not available in the right size... So basicly I was stuck with a pair of socks and a hat. Needless to say I didn't even bother.

I have checked in a couple of times after that but it seems they always are out of stock and sizes. Not even the home-shirt has been available in my size (medium) for as long as i can remember. But maybe it is a good thing considering that the bet24 logo is remarkable ugly, my other shirts will do until a new sponsor arrives.

  2. What does Pedersen do to justify his place in the side?

To be perfectly honest, there was far worse rovers players out there yesterday. Pedersen was, IMO, just the average player he is. A lot of the other players where far below average.

The first half was bad, but the second was worse. We played so bad we deserved to loose big. I dont get how Hughes can say we deserved a draw.

  3. It's very easy to knock the Champions League but it's doing what it should...provide the best matches in the world at the highest level.

I dont share your entusiasm at all. It may well be a tournament filled with big clubs and big star players, but i find it a bore. Maybe its because i've never liked spanish and italian football, but champions league has never appealed to me. The cup-winners-cup was a great cup, now its just to slow, too big, and too defensive for me. Especially since there is no team i can relate to in it.

Big games like juve - real madrid doesnt make me excited, id rather watch ANY premier league match.

  4. The two biggest newspapers in norway (Dagbladet and VG) are both reporting that MGP is not happy with his current situation. "I didn't come here to be a substitute, and I belive there are several clubs interested in a loan deal." says Morten when asked about he wants to leave the club.

However, he also says his main goal for 2005 is to play for blackburn. "I've been on the bench in the last matches and Hughes rejected the loan move to marseille, its a sign they belive in me"

Will this affect Hughes selection for today?

  5. Goodness me we have managed to get 1000 replies on this topic. Amazing lol

Hmm, but a quarter of that total is from just 4 people.

Three of the four are Norwegian, and the other is Rover6.

And one of the three Norwegians is bordering on the obsessive when it comes to MGP, and isn't a Rovers fan.

    Yes very true indeed.

But I am a norweagian and I must remind all of you that not all norweagians has the same opinions regarding MGP. Just to underline this read my previous MGP post from back in june.

I must admit I am very VERY afraid MGP wont live up to our expectations.

Given a season to adjust, he might become great, but i am afraid his first PL season wont be an award winner. We have a left side problem who need an answer next season, and I dont think MGP will be a revelation from day 1.

Yes he is a good prospect, but £2,5 m for an unproven norweagian sounds a bit harsh to me. Especially when you consider the only consistant form he has had was half last season and a quarter of this one.

Dont get me wrong, I would love to see MGP join our squad, but I feel the price is too high, and I think some of my fellow norweagians may exagurate the skills and wonders of MGP.

  6. Findland isn't part of Scandinavia. End of story

    This is not quite true.

Scandinavia is partly used as a description of the scandinavian pennesuela (Norway, Sweden, AND the northwestern part of finland), and partly for the three countries norway, sweden and denmark.

Both descriptions are equally good. And you can say finland is a part of scandinavia if you really insist.

However scandinavia and norden is not the same. Norden consists of six countries; Norway, sweden, denmark, finland, iceland and "færøyene" (faero islands?, not sure about the english name for it).

    Just to clear things up.

  7. Anyway - daheri, how come you guys get an official statement before the UK? How does that work? What's your source?

This is not my work, i'm simply translating a previous post.

As for sources, you'll have to ask BRSCN's leader. I think he is a member of this forum too, but cant remember his nick though.

On the BRSCN site he claims to be well connected and have had this news confirmed.

  8. From- http://www.brscn.com/nyheter.asp?action=visNyhet&id=928

    What does this say exactly??

Hughes signed a contract this evening at 8:30 to take over from next Monday

Waliseren signet for en time siden

BRSCN er som vanlig forst ute, i hele verden, med den offisielle kunngjoringen.

Mark Hughes signet for Rovers for ca en time siden.

This is just a quick translation.

The Welshman signed just an hour ago.

BRSCN is as usual the first, in the whole world, to broadcast the official announcement.

Mark Hughes signed for rovers just an hour ago. He will not be in charge before after the Portsmouth game. Mark will also be in charge of Wales in their next 2 matches. After that it will be rovers fulltime.

  9. They do not report anything about the size of his wage, but they say a large part of it is based on goals, passes, matches etc..

Don't like the sound of that! Based on the number of "passes"? What if he's having a blinder and passing all over the pitch to all and sundry? He'll cost us a fortune. "and in that first half Perdersen made an astonishing 127 passes to his team mates." "Yes that's great news for the lad Andy, but it's cost Blackburn £12,700. If he keeps this up over the course of the season he'll cost them another million!"

Cut to the second half and the Rovers Directors are going mad "Take him on Morst Gamst Pedersen!! Don't pass!! Take him on!! Skin him!!" in scenes reminiscent of that time back in 1927 when there was last an atmosphere on that side of the ground.

Actually, I've changed my mind - great idea. I look forward to seeing him tomorrow, hopefully he'll leave that cretin Neville in bits.

hmm, did i say passes? well lets say assists then tongue.gif

  10. Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet is reporting that MG Pedersen signed sometime before 22:30 yesterday. They are further reporting the transfer fee to be a total of 31 mill NOK, with 18 payed at the transfer and the remaining to be payed after 30, 60 and 90 official matches.

They do not report anything about the size of his wage, but they say a large part of it is based on goals, passes, matches etc..

Its all in the paper edition so i cant give you a link.

  11. well krislu, i dont want to ruin your dreams, but i seems as your "reliable" sources are not so reliable after all. There is a good chance he might come, but please dont feed me your own predictions disguised as facts and reliable sources. dry.gif
