Religion plays a massive part in the rivalry. I would say that it has been diluted slightly over the years because Ireland has settled down a bit, but to say that it geographical is nonsense. The biggest factors are your friends & family.

IMO Ferguson has let Rovers down & embarrassed himself. Even though I'm a Celtic man I wanted him to do well & show everyone that he was a talent & for him to improve his game. I know he found it hard to be away from home but ffs what did he expect, the other thing being he was only a 2 & half hour drive from home. He can't have any pride I still rate him as a really good player but as a man he has plummeted in my eye's, I'm embarrassed for him.

I don't think Bellamy will sign a contract with us come the end of the season, I think it suits all parties at the moment. Newcastle get him out of the way, Bellamy has a chance of winning a few medals & first team football & more time to make his mind up, Celtic get a good player that could clinch the title for us. But that's as far as I see it going, I actually thinks he's a big mouthed ###### but he's a good player & when he starts banging them in I think I'll learn to love.

Seeing that you's are safe now is everyone happy to see GS continue as manager or are some still thinking that they'd fancy someone else in charge. It has been a poor season & GS has to take the rap for it, that's just the way it is but there have been signs in the last month or so that he was starting to get the best out of the team again. So is everyone happy to see him stay or was it to little to late......

Had a wee get together on Saturday night & although we thought what he had said was racist, big Ron was not a racist. A big fool & not very pc but not a racist. Then my brother in law came out with big Ron classic he said it happened when Man utd were playing Bayern & big Carsten Yanker & Memhet Scholl were about to come on. Big Ron clocks them & says, 'oh, here comes the Luftwaffe' I was buckled.

I ain't getting involed in the sack him or not debate, but what I will say is there is a right time for every manager to leave the club they are at (Brian Clough). The thing I agree with some people on is that GS does not seem to want to accept any blame for the teams current form it's always someone else fault or it's just bad luck. He rather die than admit he's struggling & maybe have made a few mistakes in team selection & tactics, thats just the way he is. I think the team will come good but it's gonna have to be sooner rather than later. BTW Fergie, Tugay & Flitty should never be playing in the same team.

Got to say I'm a bit disappointed with The Coral's 'Magic & Medicine'. It could grow on me but after listening to it a few times I feel a bit let down. Very slow & one paced, I think they've borrowed a lot of thier sound from the La's (yes I know there both from Liverpool) & I was expecting something more original & fresh. One of the band members name is Power's, anyone know if he's related to John Power's from the La's & Cast.

I'll have to disagree with you there.....Britney Spears in baggy trousers, nothing more.
I'm not a fan of either but I think Avril Lavigne's ok at least she can write & play a bit & isn't just a pretty face that can do neither.

Not the greatest band of all time, but while painting the house on Saturday (couldn't get out of it this time) I put 'pop' by Erasure on, hadn't listened to any of there stuff for ages & it was great to hear I'd forgot how much I liked them. It wasn't the coolest thing to admit you liked them when I was a teenager, but I did like their music & I still do.

He just rub's some people the wrong way. He ain't typical, cos most of us don't gloat. Every team has different type fans thats just a fact. We have got slaugthered off the Daily Record, with all thats going on in the world. To give a scuffle & a snatch disc the first 7 pages is unreal. Anyway all the best to the Rovers fans over the festive.

Here jas, i want to hear & read that stuff. But these lads don't it ain't there club mate. I've only had 3 hrs sleep & i'm fcuked, so leave this forum for the Rovers, most are top lads. Thanks (a shattered but pleased wide-bhoy).

Thats a good point Paul about the police. It gets me angry when people just believe what they are fed. Those idoits are making these people feel threatend, when they should be reasuring them. We'll be down soon, for a few beers a good laugh & hopefully a classic game.

Is that the scare moungiring started. At least a right few of you's lads were up at Parkhead & reported back that you's had a really good time & found the Celtic fans were very hospitable. I can tell you Celtic have great traveling fans & don't let anybody tell you different, Yes there will be a few arseholes amongst us, but every club has them. Just look at the amount of times we are invited down south for friendlys or testamonials. That would not happen if we were starting trouble.

I don't think religion will be on anyone's mind when the game kicks off but it can play a massive part in your upbringing, shaping your views & ultimately what team you support. It didn't with me because even though my mum was religious my father had no interest in football, if my dad had been a bigot there is a good chance I would have been one to.
