Well the latest rumours would suggest that Rovers have been frustrated by Porto and have withdrawn their bid for their South African striker Benni McCarthy. Rovers Chief Executive John Williams is reported to have said"We do not have an agreement," "I made a great effort to sign the player, but we did not obtain him, therefore we have to leave it and look at another solution." The latest rumour would suggest a return to Ewood of Andy Cole, who joined Fulham last summer after a well publicised fall out with Graeme Souness.
