Rovers Confirm Striker Talks

Further to transfer rumours first reported on this site last week,media sources are today reporting that talks have begun between Rovers and out of contract Ipswich striker Shefki Kuqi.

Rovers manager Mark Hughes is still reported to be interested in signing Porto's Benni McCarthy however Rovers chief executive John Williams has told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: 'Mark is interested in Shefki because he feels he could give us something different. We have spoken to his people but we have not made an offer as yet.'
