Nils-Eric Johansson, released by Rovers at the end of last season is expected to sign for Leicester City today.

Meanwhile former Rovers winger Keith Gillespie has been released by Leicester and is training with Leeds with a view to gaining a contract with the Yorkshire club.

Rovers reserve defender Gavin Peers has joined Mansfield Town.

Former Rovers captain of the Premiership winning team, Tim Sherwood, has left Coventry by mutual consent.

Former Rovers striker Dwighte Yorke, released by Birmingham at the end of last season, has signed for Australian A-League side Sydney FC.

Whilst former Rovers reserve striker in the early nineties Peter Thorne, has joined Norwich from Cardiff.
