Alan75 Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Despite going down 2 – 0, Rovers fought back, with goals from, Kuqi, Thompson and Bentley to beat Charlton 3 - 2 tonight, to go into the draw for the next round of the Carling Cup. A first half goal by Ambrose and early second half goal by Murphy were cancelled out by Rovers substitutes Shefki Kuqi and David Thompson, before David Bentley hit a dramatic winner in the 88th minute to put Rovers into the quarter finals. Alan75 Posted November 30, 2005 Author Posted November 30, 2005 After the game Rovers Manager Mark Hughes stated. "We dominated the first half but found ourselves a goal down, then it got worse, but once we pulled a goal back I knew we would get a second."
