Alan75 Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 In the absence of Chris Samba, Andre Ooijer is expected to line up alongside Ryan Nelsen, for tomorrow nights UEFA Cup match against Larissa. After suffering concussion at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, Mark Hughes has not included Samba in the squad, citing excess travel and high temperatures in Greece for his exclusion. Temperatures during tomorrows game are expected to be in the mid 30’s. Apart from long term casualties, Reid and Berner, Rovers have no other injury worries and are likely to name a full strength team in order to extended their unbeaten run to 15 games. Larissa manager is the former Rovers winger Georgios Donis, who has stated "I am looking forward to the first match against Rovers. We all know that Blackburn is one of the biggest clubs in England and the odds are not on our side.” Lets hope this isn’t a Greek tragedy and Rovers manage to pick up points as well as a sun tan.
