Blackburn came away from Elland Road, with maximun points to keep their European qualification dreams alive, after going behind to a 20 minute goal by Mark Viduka.

Rovers got back on level terms in the 37 minute with a David Dunn penalty, after Duberry had handled in the area.

Rovers then took the lead on 68 minutes when Cole broke away to score and substitute Andy Todd then scored, his first goal for the club, from a corner in the 77 minute.

In a frantic last 10 minutes Rovers held on, even though Alan Smith managed to pull back a consolation goal in injury time, with a reshuffled defence due to injuries to Short and Gresko.

Final score 2-3.
