Speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire the Blackburn manager stated that. "I can't make an offer to him that's attractive enough," "We have priority positions that we feel we have to strengthen and strikers are not a priority area. "He wasn't asking for ridiculous money. It's a deal I'd like to have done, but I can't." Souness confirmed that he and Sukur had problems after the Manchester United game, however he insisted that the strikers exit is purely down to financial constraints.
