With just two weeks to go before the Premier League kicks off Blackburn continue their pre season warm up against Wigan Athletic tomorrow afternoon, before they travel to the Irish Republic for a friendly against Bray next Wednesday.

Graeme Souness is expected to take a full first team squad to Wigan tomorrow, with the exception of Flitcroft, Short and new signing Gresko who are all unavailable due to injuries.

Craig Short is struggling with a knee injury he sustained during pre-season training in the USA.

Tony Parkes is quoted as saying: "Craig twisted his knee at our training camp in America, but he feels it hasn't got better.

"The medical team have recommended a scan to help them work on the problem."

Meanwhile there is better news on Gary Flitcrofts ankle injury and it is hoped he will be fit in time for the Premier kick off against Wolves.

Although still recovering from the injury he recieved at Leeds last season Gresko has passed his medical and officially signed as a Rover's player this morning for a fee in the region of £1.2 million.
