Blackburn's utility player Jonathan Douglas's future looks to be on the up, following Graeme Souness's reported comments. "I've told Jonathan we will be sorting out a new deal before the end of the season,"

This is a turn around in Douglas's prospects, after a cruciate knee injury two seasons ago and starting this season on loan to Blackpool, he is now a regular first team player for Rovers.

It would appear that Souness has been pleased with the former academy players displays since breaking into the first team and is ready to offer the former Irish under 21 player a new contract.
