That 5 point gap to Norwich feels even better knowing their next 3 are Stoke (A), Sheff Utd (H) then Rovers (A).
No gimmes in there and they go to Boro away at Easter tooWas looking at their fixture lists, and both Norwich and WBA have really difficult run-ins.

Would swap out Gallagher for Markandy and Garrett for A. Wharton
The JDT type of managers love thier false nines, yet it's baffling how he never seems to give Markanday an opportunity.
Has to be better than Gallagher.

He has energy and can run around but he struggles with basic control and passing. Sometimes I wonder if he miscontrols the ball on purpose to allow him to crunch in.
(Suppose thats not far off with Travis but he has a bit more composure in comparison.
Just prior to his yellow card, he literally did this. Gave the ball away followed by, admittedly, a really good crunching tackle.
Made it worse with the yellow directly after.

A good 3 points. We really shouldn't be underestimating the 'poorer' teams in this league.
The bottom 5 all played against top 8 teams and all picked up points, bar Huddersfield.
And we were the only home side to win from all the 3pm kick offs today.

What a player Callum Brittany is turning out to be

Oh Wow! Come on Rovers!
That was unexpected.
Can we count that as open play?

Buckley having an absolute shocker
Par for the course in recent times, unfortunately.

Blackburn (1.33) 0-0 (0.00) Millwall
Xg scoreline. Thought it might have been higher for us, but literally zero threat from the team that had won 5 on the trot.

I know it's never so black and white, but we'd be down to 9th if the teams below us win their games in hand.
That, I'm afraid, is our ceiling under Tony.

Our defence and Travis continue to prove their value.
The attack is another story.
Buckley, Gallagher, Lenihan and JRC (in order of ease of sitter) should all have scored.

Pickering is fine for what he is, but why not take him off instead of Giles when we need a winner?

They say there's no easy games in this league but by Christ this lot are poor.
Yet they're on a 5 match winning streak.

Buckley had a fantastic first half, but he was quiet in the second.
And missed the easiest chance of the lot.

Travis has been very good.

Has Gallagher got any sort of footballing brain?

And Bournemouth score to rub it in!

That Lenihan miss makes it 4 sitters!

This decision by Mowbray is even more insane than all those times he has played Gallagher on the right. The only way Giles is useful to us is on the left. Although, let's be honest, no-one is going to score anything he swings in, anyway. Hopeless.
He seems to think replicating the Diaz formula will work with Gallagher.
The slight issue with that is that it requires him to be an actual footballer.

Should have been at least two up.
Gally, especially, and JRC should have scored.
Added to Buckley hitting the post and JP's header, we have been dominant.
Buckley top class. The spell out was possibly the kick up the backside he needed.
Just worry about that sucker punch in the 2nd half,, considering we just cant score.

Both Khadra and Buckley are so inconsistent!

Buckley coming to the fore. Need to score while we're on top!

Just doesn't have a striker's instinct.
And then Wharton proves he actually does have William's forehead.
