  1. We all know Leeds are in the sh_t, we have probably covered all their options and future traumas a few times, so I had an impulse to add some silliness. I would have left it alone if it wasn't for the post about the old woman signing for Leeds.

  2. That's good news, at least until they appoint Glenn Hoddle on a rolling contract for £10,000 per year !. No news as yet of any buyer, but then who the hell would want this mess ?.

I do have a sadistic fascination with how Leeds' crises develop, and how far they can go before it all implodes.

  3. .........but it's related. Why don't Some of you print off these songs, and see if you can get people to hand them out to the crowd, so everyone knows the words ?. DOn't know how much it would cost, but a book with all the songs in could be sold. Or someone could steal Cheshire Blue's credit card :).

  4. Jesus KSB, you should be in American politics with your brand of wild, inaccurate labelling. It seems that you say everyone who isn't 120% on the 'Souness out' showboat sees him as a demi-God. I wasn't keen on his appointment, but he has done alright apart from this season. And that I think we should replace him when someone better is clearly available. Sadly, there may not be anyone available.
  5. The Irish bloke with the wellies.

Of course Jim Davidson would be out of the question to replace Souness, as he'd offend Tugay, Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke within about 3 minutes of arriving. And the players will get bored of Julian Clary's 'balls into the box' remarks very rapidly, whilst Bobby Davro's Wurzel Gummage impersinations will look very dated.

  6. What worries me about the whole left sided midfielder problem is that it isn't the first time such a situation has occurred. Last season until Gresko came we played without a proper left back. Granted Bjornebye was injured but it still shouldn't happen.

It's a tad worrying that Souness seems to forget about certain positions for part of a season.

Maybe he gets his Left and Right mixed up...?

Someone comes along with a right-sided midfielder for sale and Souey says "Oooh! I don't think I have one of those, I'll take it!" only to get back to Ewood and find he already has three.

Maybe we should get Jimmy Crickett to be our next manager.

  7. I know this will be unpopular, but in the light of our dearth of left-footed players, why don't we just get Jason Wilcox back for the rest of the season.  He wouldn't cost much and DEFINITELY wouldn't be worse than the rubbish that's played there this season (Thompson, Emerton, Reid)- not that they're necessarily rubbish overall- all of them, just rubbish on the left!

Funnily enough my dad has been saying that all season (about getting Wilcox back).  Still, he's insane and wears clown pants to home games so what does he know!

I thought you wrote that Wilcox wears Clown pants when I first read this :D.

Wilcox will be cheap, but I'm not sure he'll be any good. He can't even get into the Leeds team !. :D

  8. The chef was sold to cut the wage bill and replaced with a toaster (interest free purchase from comet - with extended 5-year warranty at £700

Does the warranty cover accidental insertion into Professor Reg Holdsworth's bumhole?

"Could I have my toast back please Professor? It was that naughty Alan Smiff that did it! Squeeze your bum cheeks together and see if you can get a round out."

Not unless I get there first and shove those double glazed windows he keeps shouting about on TV first. Leeds' next manager will be that balding goon with the long hair who does the ads with him, and not Strachan.

I bet no-one knows what I'm on about.

  9. It seems it's going to be crunch time at this deadline. Either they sell £5m worth of their players, and have an even worse team, or keep them, and gamble on satying up. Right now, I can't see the latter happening, so it seems they'll get rid of a couple of players to make up the £5m, and go down.

After that, God knows what will happen.

  10. I honestly think we are probably going to be relegated this season. I went through a bit of blind panic during November/December, when it was spectacularly awful. However now, Blackburn Rovers Football Club seems to be a real nowhere club that is sinking without any hope. No obvious possibilities of a player coming in to get things going, whilst the players available struggle against everyone.

If McBride does sign for Fulham, I will be annoyed. I hope he fails there if he does go.

  11. The more I read this board today, the more depressed I feel. No money, McBride seemingly going to Fulham and talk of a manager whose heart is not in the fight for survival (no pun intended).

If he feels like that, perhaps he should go, and then we can get someone else who is up for it. The worst thing right now is to have a manager who is semi-detatched and dispondent.

  12. Maybe that Green bloke who ows BHS will come steaming in on Saturday and save the day. It happened just before Chelski were about to collapse.

From what I read, Green wasn't going to put money in as a principle shareholder, but was rather going to lend money to Leighton to leverage his purchase.

From a purely mercenary point of view, I want Leeds to go into administration and get 10 points docked.

Wolves have had it, and in the scenario above Leeds would almost certainly have had it, meaning that there was only one place to play for (or should I say, avoid). Dog eat dog in the current financial climate!

Do you mean Green was to lend money for someone else to buy the club, and their shares, rather than buying them out directly ?. I admit I have part of me that wants to see them go tits up as well. We might sign a few decent players on the cheap as well.

  13. Sturrock is actually quite experienced, as he was a pretty good manager in Jockland before turning Plymouth from a poor 3rd division team to a top 2nd division team. I doubt he'd come right now, as he seems settled down there, as the new contract shows. There is a problem with the people who are instantly available being even worse than Souness. Graeme was the right guy for the job after Brian Kidd, but I think his managerial limitations are becoming too clear now for comfort.
  14. This should be brought up again after Bolton. Big fat Sam has a team that fights and battles all the time and never gives up. We have a bunch of shrinking violets who wilt under the slightest bit of pressure.

Sure, we have no money at the moment, but a new person could kick the wasters into line like Souness did when he came in. If the latter was still alive, I'd say a combination of Alex McLeish and Uday Hussein as assistant manager would achieve this.

  15. I suppose a 2-2 draw isn't that bad, although I'm disappointed. Last I heard it was 2-1 at around 4.50, so it could have been worse. Sometimes the same bunch of players play better under a new manager. But then who'd be both available and better than Souness right now ?. We could end up with another Brian Kidd.

If we do go down, or scrape past on the last day of the season, Graeme should leave.

  16. Souness is crap, he must go now so the new manager has the window to mould the squad, if possible. SOUNESS OUT !!!  :O.

I just had to get that out of my system. i think it'll be flipping close in our relegation battle. Don't care if Graeme goes or not really.
