  1. True American.

The "Seattle Scene" started with a band called Green River, who morphed into Mother Love Bone who then became Pearl Jam. Other notables around at the time were Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Mudhoney.

Nirvana arrived very late onto an already burgeoning scene. It is a complete myth that they were early leading lights.

But I think Nevermind made it to number 1 on the album charts where as none of the other bands achieved this? Could be wrong. Never the less, I like all of those bands, Alice in Chains probably my favourite of them all.

  2. My only complaint about my new Rovers shirt from last season is that it has Bellamy on the back. But seriously I like it a lot. I also loved my Mcewans Lager one as well as my Kappa one. Everybody thought the Mcewans one said "Oasis" on it where the Ascics sign was because around that time there was a lot of talk that Oasis were going to sponser Man City, and I guess people who had no idea about football thought my Jersey was the team they supported.

  3. I don't blame him for doing what he did if in fact the reports are true that he was called a 'dirty terrorist'. I think there are certain things that set people off and it happens that Materazzi found the right button to push to get him ejected out of the game. Of course it wasn't just that one comment that probably set him off, I'm sure the whole game zz was a powder keg from all the abuse he was taking, just the final straw. He is only human afterall.

  4. Still waiting to see if the member has a problem or not as I have some more questions for him,

I have two guys who knows comps inside out, upside down and waiting to help.

Till we hear if its been sorted nothing more I can do. I would'nt have thought you need a new computer for blue screen especially as he had it for only 18months..strange..

    :)

I didn't know how old the computer was, nor the specs of it. When I said new computer I didn't mean that his old computer was broken, simply not good enough to play the game. From my experience when a computer over heats it doesn't go to a blue screen it simply locks up and freezes, but computers can be strange some times.

  5. Windows XP blue screen is usually a page dump. There is a temperary file located on the C drive which stores information while programs are running, this file allows the computer to run faster, this file essentially acts as RAM. My old P3 did this all the time when I tried to play Halo on it, the only solution I found was to get a new computer. Basically my processor and ram were too slow, video card was fine and everything else was fine. Footie manager isn't that intense of a game (at least i don't think, i dont' really play it). What kind of computer do you have exactly?

CPU, RAM, Hard Drive capacity and free space, last time you formatted the drive, and type of Video Card. You might be able to get away with upgrading the ram and possibly the hard drive. I would check to see that you have at least a gig free on your C: drive.

Check this page out if you want more info on the page dump error.

  6. What a game! I was really getting nervous during the second half, especially with that ref! Such odd calls, even though a few were in our favour, I don't know what he was thinking. Kudos to everyone on Blackburn, not all had an excellent individual game but overall they were great.

The atmosphere was amazing, I really wish I had been there.

  7. Bellers has been through a relegation as has duffer and Joe Cole. I take it you are saying they must be rubbish as well then

I'm saying mostly that we shouldn't be lining up to purchase half the squad. I take it that all three of the players you have mentioed are not from the same relegated squad.

  8. I cannot remember the saying 100% but I think it goes something like "if you purchase relegation players you can expect to get relegated"

All I am saying is that there is a reason why the team has been playing so poorly, and buying up a load of the squad is not likely to improve anybody's team. I think Alan Smith can attest to this, though I thought everybody knew he was rubbish before United signed him up.

  9. Rovers win 1 - 0

In the final few minutes of the game Damien Duff takes off his jersey to reveal the new Rovers kit for next season (bet 24), he turns around and kicks an own goal. During his celebration he kisses the BRFC badge and points to the fans! A post match report reveals that Duff has signed a 2 year contract with the Rovers and claims that Blackburn "will always be [his] home". With that victory over the champions Blackburn retain 6th position and go on to win their final match securing their UEFA cup hope

    Attendance: 30k

  10. Sorry to champion the evidently omniscient with superior pedantry but yes it does. It can be spelt either way.

I'm not too happy with the result as I was expecting more out of Blackburn tonight, but Wigan came out strong and played well. I think I would agree with the refs decision regarding the Wigan goal being called back, Roberts was offside, and in my opinion an active player in the play.

Regarding the judgement versus judgment...why does everybody feel so compelled to correct everyone's spelling and grammar? From what I know the two spellings are simply an American spelling and a British spelling, the American one being without the 'e'. Who really cares though honestly? Are we all being marked on our spelling or talking about the game?

  11. Shearer was one of the reasons I started liking football, even though my dad followed Blackburn for some years I never got into it until Rovers signed Shearer (I was young and not exposed to a lot of football in Canada). I bought the jersey and everything and to this day still follow Blackburn. He was a great player for both country and club, I was upset when he left Rovers as he was my favourite player, but since then I've learned the business of football. I hold the upmost respect for him and think he deserves a proper goodbye from Blackburn as well as Newcastle.

  12. I think Pedersen is one of my favourite players on the squad and I would really be sad to see him go, but like others have brought up we were pretty much all sad to see the likes of Shearer, Duff, Dunn etc. leave also. I think if the right bid comes in we must sell. He is an excellent player and a good prospect for the future so from other players that have been sold I would say he is worth at least 12 million pounds.
