Complete fantasy to think Allardyce would’ve been interested in staying much longer than he did. He’d been there and got the t-shirt with Bolton and often said he could do it at much bigger clubs. Newcastle was a huge blow to his ego and we were always just a temporary stepping stone on the road back to where he thought he belonged.

Didn’t he take over after we finished 7th with Mark Hughes? What bigger club would he had gone for?

  2. What do people think of Buckley.. like objectively?

He had a couple of good games in December/January when we were winning and I thought there might be a player in there but if I have to be objective he is slow, weak, cant press or close down the opposition and can’t shoot. His control and passing are okay I guess, but he might be one of the most ineffective fake 9s Ive ever seen. Perhaps just as ineffective as playing 6ft8 striker on the wing.

Is there any stats that show what he is best at? Creating chances or opening spaces for our amazing wingers or something?

He signed two attackers (Markanday, Hedges) an attacking wing back (Zeefuik) and a versatile left back midfielder (Giles)....?

Could have done with another striker given Markanday's injury, but we haven't signed defensive players.

I mean, Brown, Giles and Zeefuik are the three I meant, but you are correct we also got Hedges and Markanday who are attacking options. Let see what kind of an impact these two will have upon our season. We already know the impact Markanday will unfortunately have but lets wait and see about Hedges

  4. Well we had a great chance this transfer window to strengthen the team. We didn't need much tbf - One decent striker and one capable midfielder would have really done it for us imo and we would have aimed for the stars. Not only we didn't do it, while our competitors bought or had an interest in everyone, but if Rothwell is not to play again, we are actually weaker than 2 weeks ago. Shocking. Lets just wait and see thou but I am not an optimist.

The guy couldn’t cut it in Bulgaria which says it all really. He was literally not good enough for the Bulgarian standards and thats where we got our Greek Keeper from (And he was btw killing it there). Tony also had some attitude issues if I remember correctly. If we end up signing him, I will be shocked

  6. Tbf, if you dont trust your manager and you are waiting for his contract to expire in order to get rid of him, would you give him money to invest in players he sees suitable for his style of play or would you wait and make them money available for whoever else comes next. Not that this is what is happening but I wouldn’t give any money to Mowbray myself so fair enough, I would have gotten rid ages ago thou.

  7. This only comes to show what bits of motivation can do to certain players. Now one can only imagine what the likes of Holtby and Rothwell would have looked like last season if we had a manager who could  motivate and extract the best out of them. Not saying the Chile’s manager has done that to BB thou. Perhaps, playing for Chile is a big enough motivating factor by itself, but it does seem like BB is made for the big scene after all. We did sign him after he destroyed Arsenal, didn’t we.

I am not sure he has the confidence nor the ability to be a big player whatsoever but fair play to the lad for taking the international opportunity with both his hands.

Actively trying to flog Armstrong now:

That’s out of my control. For Adam’s sake let’s hope the phone rings and someone offers us a ridiculous amount of money, we shake him by the hand and we say go and bang in loads of goals in the Premier League and we’ll use some of that money in the team and can find another striker who can bang loads of goals in.

So what he says basically is that we are shit but we have one premier league quality player in our books, so as we have no ambitions, it would be a shame if he doesn’t test himself in the Premier League with some other team. In the meantime we obviously aint going up and we spent lots of money on two strikers who unfortunately  ended up being shit so hopefully once Arma goes we will be able to find someone who is better than them

It took be back to my childhood school hols working on farms.

Mowbray looks like a cow chewing the cud, and with a bloody big nose.

Where do you get to watch the extended highlights?
