  1. Viduka is a deluded fool, and Boro are welcome to him if he really thinks he gave his all. His constant sniping about moving to a 'big club' whenever the papers link him to Roma or whoever, the many lathargic and disinterested matches and the arguments with the coaches and managers suggest a different story.

  2. 2. Keep Gresko, as he is handy on the left hand midfield position.

    And your proof is...?

Souness even preferred Nisse on the left wing ahead of Gresko, which is saying something.

Rovers should look to offload Gresko as soon as possible. He was rubbish in Italy. He's been rubbish for us bar that initial loan spell. And even that fine period of Gresko's Rovers career was embellished by the fact he had an on-form Damien Duff playing in front of him, occupying opposition full backs and wingers AND he was being compared to Nisse who'd played (or attempted to play) there before Vratty arrived.

Just on Matteo - I'll give Souness the benefit of doubt and assume that bringing in 3 older players this summer means that he believes that we have the youngsters in the set-up to bring through, and therefore we don't have to spend money on them. Hopefully, McEveley, Taylor, Donnelly, Johnson, Gallagher etc. will get a look in to flourish with the more experienced guys.

Well, I'm basing it on the theory that with Gray as left back, he can be more attacking. And then he is left footed. It isn't the strongest theory, but it must be worth a try if De Pedro gets injured. We can't keep playing Douglas/Reid/Thompson/Emerton out of position and hoping for the best.

The only other combination down that side I can think of is McEverley/Gray.

  3. I agree Philly. A cheeky bid for Scott Carson (Goalkeeper) would be a good move, perhaps we could also sign one of their tea ladies as well, just as cover, in case one of our TL's comes down with flu in November. I heard that their Tea Ladies were on as much as £25,000 a week - just shows what a crazy world they lived in up there for a bit. I blame O'Leary, Ridsdale - and of course Saunders.

Good lad, I taught you well. You know Dean Saunders is the source of all evil, and must be stopped from reeking (sp ?) his 5-a-side dustruction of civilisation as we know it. He gives Al-Queda Nuclear weapons don't you know ?. And he's Leeds Utd's Pimp Master, by forcing middle aged women into prostitution. Kill Saunders before it's too late. You know it makes sense.

P.S. Good to see you are consistent on Scott Carson. I'll have a look next time on CM.

  4. Wey-hey, it's 2.21 am local time, I'm off my box, and I've just found out we have signed Matteo after watching my uncle play darts. It's all good. But before I type nonsense on this screen I'm having difficulty focusing on, let me put my related thoughts in bullet points.

    1. Matteo is a pretty good signing, as long as his knees hold up.

    2. Keep Gresko, as he is handy on the left hand midfield position.

    3. Please God, let someone take Yorke and Todd off our hands. OK, if Garry Flitcroft has to go as well, I'd sacrifice him to shift those two winkers.

  5. There is a slight cliquey element to the board as well. Sometimes the new posters tend to have it little too tough. I'm no doubt as guilty as others in sometimes having little patience but it's interesting to hear from tcj_jones that he found it a little difficult at first but stuck at it and improved to become a regular contributor to the board. While I don't care if idiots get put off and leave I'd be disappinted if some posters who original and worthwhile things to say are put off the board by the initial reaction they receive. I'm not too sure how that can be changed though in the future or if it should. There are some posters who no longer contribute who were of benefit to the board and I'd hope they just felt they had other things to do rather than actually being put off the place.

I agree with these points. People here can be a bit hard on newcomers, and regular people here have groups which sometimes bitch at each other. If fall out with a senior member, especially if they're a mod, a fair number pile in as well. New and potentially decent members may be put off when these situations happen. You all probably don't like this statement, but it can be true.

However, there are some like Lofty and Mr. Respectable, who add nothing positive to this board in my opinion.

  6. ps. was anyone else laughing when they saw ronaldo crying, i may sound bitter, but so be it

    laugh.gif He wanted his mummy.

I laughed at the big girl's blouse as well. He's rapidly becoming a disliked player with me because he seems to give sly kicks and fouls, and yet goes down like a screaming brat whenever he gets touched. He may become the next generations Dennis Bergkamp.

  7. At least you don't ever use the 606 website Glenn. If you think RoverDrake is bad, you haven't seen the infantile insults in text speak that cover the board there. If there are moderators, they can't do their job at all, as these messages plague the site.

  8. Thanks for saying that Waggy. I repeat it again: WE WERE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN, either the tournament, or against Portugal. Nor will we ever win if we have a team that is frightened of the ball, lack technical ability, and have little in the way of vision.

So stop whining about the ref against Portugal, and except that they deserved to win that match anyway.

  9. Don't really see the connection there, Eddie, even if he's a United-supporter doesn't mean he wouldn't give 100 percent for Rovers. Heck, most people are manure-fans or liverpool-fans these days anyway..

I hope he stays in Tromsø till after the season, and that we sign him next season or in January if we can get the cash then! smile.gif

I agree, and cite Man U fan Henning Berg, and Liverpool fan Ole Gunnar Solskjhjiierer as evidence.

  10. Imagine if he left after next season, with more signings on silly wages now and in January. The wage bill will be well over 100% of turnover, and the debts will soon put them where they were before he came. Cue a trumphalist return of Jesus, sorry Ken Bates, and incidence of gobsh_tedness in West London will increase by 509%. The Kings Road Mincers will then be guided into even more debt, and then close down completely.

As this is happening Duff goes to Man Utd to cut the debts, sparking another 30,000,000,000,000,000 messages on Blackburn website brfcs.biz about the player. Subjects will range from whether he left, or was sold against his will, how annoying it is he plays for Man Utd., and will he ever come back.

  11. Right, it was the Sun who printed the refs details. I believe the editor is that woman who led the campaign to name and picture paedophiles, which led to some paediatritians (i.e. doctors for children) to be abused by 1/4 witted chavs who need to think for 10 minutes before they wipe their butt. In fact, I'm so annoyed with the Sun, I wish that there was a campaign to harrass their journalists.

Any help with personal e-mails, phone numbers etc. of Sun 'journalists' will be helpful. Or I may just complain with an e-mail to the website.

  12. Just a few points about the England vs. Portugal game, as I saw it:

    1. Portugal were much better and deserved to win.

    2. Our midfield are lazy sh_tbags who just strolled along throughout the game, and didn't support our strikers. Or defend with any conviction.

    3. David Beckham should not be captain. Too busy doing photo shoots and tarts to develop as a player.

    4. Sven may need to resign. He's been good, but he's starting to lose the plot.

    5. Do our players know what a penalty shoot out is ?.

    6. Too many aimless long balls to the 5 foot 8 Michael Owen, and the similarly short Vassell.

    7. The tabloids are ___s for printing off personal details of the ref. Let's get hold of the newspaper editors contact details and give them abuse. They'll whine more than a Mexican centre forward.

  13. In one of this mornings newspaper things (according to BBC sport) it says that Gerrard’s decision to stay at Liverpool was influenced by a hate campaign directed at his family by Liverpool supporters

Houllier, Lucas Neill and now Gerrard - class lot those Liverpudlians.

On a COMPLETELY tangential note - the media's espousal of the name Chelski is somewhat inaccurate imo. With the mighty weight of 1 years History A-Level study of Eastern European history and a sketchy knowledge of the odd Russian footballer's' names, I can happily announce that the addition of ski at the end of a name is actually Polish. And, although some parts of Poland have been owned by Russia for long periods of their history - Poland is Poland and Russia is Russia. Abramovich is Russian and not Polish and Olisadebe is Polish not Nigerian... huh.gif ...

...ANYWAY - from now on we call them Chelseovich.

    rolleyes.gif

How about Chelserov, or Chelserova ?.
