  1. New Modest Mouse album is simply superb.

Agreed. As is the new Explosions in The Sky album

Anyone heard of a band called Efterklang? I just got a copy of their album Tripper and it's really brilliant. Kind of glitchy electronic fuzz with some nice brass and choral singing. Lovely stuff. I imagine that this album was recorded in a snowy Danish forest and lots of animals came to watch. They left nuts and berries to show their appreciation (and were subsequently eaten by bears).

  2. Has anyone stopped to think that perhaps West Ham want to put in the relegation clause?

That way they won't have players draining Premiership wages out of their coffers when they are living on a Championship revenue stream.

And another point, shouldn't we applaud Lucas for not succumbing to the usual 'big-club' glory-hunting syndrome?

We all bag the fans and media who jump on the bandwagons of big clubs.. so Lucas wants to play for a small club in London... who in some ways resemble a small club in Lancashire... lots of history... good solid support and reputation.. yadda yadda.

Was talking to a West Ham mate about this exact thing today. Totally agree, pg

  3. Hmm

    Blackburn v Middlesbrough

    Match preview

It is a good time for Blackburn to play Middlesbrough.

Boro did well to get through their Uefa Cup tie against Roma. They will be euphoric but it will be back to earth with a bang for them here.

Blackburn are a good side. They get the ball down and play but they still possess the physical element which is fine. The more I see them, the more they mirror their manager Mark Hughes as a player. Physical but classy.

    Prediction: 2-1

  4. I think we could do well as promoting ourselves as 'the place to get your career back on track'

    Todd

    Hell's Bells

    Zurab

    Sav

    Bentley

Gamst (although he was already at Ewood)

Have all got their life on the pitch back together

Perhaps instead of looking at the relegated clubs we should look at players who are talented but not doing the business right now. These type of players seems to be Hughes speciallilty...
