Connor will most definitely be looking at his next move, as it's his employment for the near future. If a Championship club have offered him 8000 a week ( which is the case) and a 3 year contract, you do the maths.

You just don't get it do you " just that they shouldn't be able to offer significantly more money than Rovers". Why not? Perhaps PNE / Barnsley are running there clubs in the correct manner (financially)
