  1. I was going to renew this morning after being undecided after missing too many games with sky last season, and feeling a little drained with how the season finished. Don’t understand why season tickets need to be taken down for the best part of a week while they remove them from the system. If I’d gone down Ewood with a bag of spanner’s I could have physically removed them from the stadium in less time. Anyone called the ticket office to ask wtf is going on ?

  2. Can’t see why we would bother bringing in the new set up if we don’t have a plan to move forward and get better at identifying and signing players. Maybe Broughton has been fed a pack of lies( there is money available blah blah but we never said we’d give it you. Maybe we are playing a risky game of not signing x amount of players 4 or 5 weeks ago thus saving   Wages then going all out last few days of the window. The feel good factor seems to be diminishing somewhat. If we don’t back JDT with what he was promised I very much doubt he will stick around and we will plummet to new depths regarding future ticket sales. Let’s hope we are pleasantly surprised at the end of the window.

He’s lived up here before when he was at City.

He was playing in that 7-0 thrashing we gave Forest years ago. My youngest son and myself were waiting out side the main entrance after the game so he could get autographs. It was peeing with rain and nearly all the Forest players just brushed past the kids. Stuart Pearce signed autographs for everybody in the rain. The other players were banging on the coach window for him or get on but he ignored them. Top bloke.

Ended Forest's long unbeaten run if I remember rightly, and an absolute rocket from Le saux. He certainly wears his heart on his sleeve. Sounds like a top bloke, I certainly wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of him though.

I was speaking to someone a few weeks ago who was adamant Ferguson had been interviewed about the job at Sparth House in Clayton Le Moors.

I didn't give it any credence at the time as the general consensus was we hadn't spoken to anyone at that point (apart from Mowbray)

Not sure how I'd feel about that. He'd certainly put a much needed rocket up a few arses but not sure if he's all that in terms of managerial ability ultimately.

Hope your talking about Alex 😃

Seen a post on twitter claiming that Venus is also leaving but Johnson and Lowe staying.

No surprises but if true forget about Farke, Dyche or anyone decent. Nobody like that will be told who he has to have on his staff

Maybe they are staying on for now, doesn't mean a new manager coming in can't bring his own staff and replace them. If all the coaches leave when Mowbray does there will be nobody left to keep things ticking over.

Farke is leading the way but I’ve also voted Michael Carrick , really think he could have an impact at a club the way Lampard and Gerrard did in their first jobs

I agree, it could be good to see an up and coming manager with fresh ideas and decent contacts given the job. However in the unlikely event of us appointing somebody to get us all excited I very much doubt they will think outside the box, it will be an old head who's been around the block.

Good things are on the horizon this coming season we are told and I for one am really excited to see what’s coming!

Cheers Tony, you didn’t make anything worse but not once did you exceed your targets.

Who told you good things are on the horizon? I haven't seen or heard anything to get me excited. By Tony's interview some of the players are worried about the future so it's likely they haven't heard anything positive either.

Hold on a minute.   I'm no fan of the owners but they have placed a CEO in charge who should be doing this type of shit....its Tony's mate isn't it , so why hasn't he come out with a load of platitudes and positive noises so Tony gets a new job, you know like a good reference and good PR for his mate..."thanks for all you've done, promotion blah blah....'  he could do it tomorrow but choosing not to..why?

Why is it being left to the owners and giving them bad publicity?.....this is Mogadon and Tesco last fingers up before they both fuck off, or even worse bag themselves another 3 years each.

A disgrace the pair of them.

I agree on that, poor wording on my part, I wasn't expecting a direct response from India, but definitely from Mr Waggot who should be Venkies mouthpiece. Its another reason why fans are fed up, lack of communication and not knowing which direction the club is going.

  9. I think it's a shit show having no statement from the club, but listening to Simon Jordan on talk sport on Friday he said he would not have come out and spoke to the manager regarding a new contract whilst in our position and said it would be upto the manager to contact the owners if he was wanting clarification on a new contract. Seems like he's been sacked  but not until his contract has finished hence not having to pay severance pay. Hear it lots now, some manager is potted and a new manager is named before the desk is cleared, which is similar to Tony in that he hasn't a clue what the owners want and is in the dark whilst plans have been made for the future without him knowing. Doubt that will be the case with us I'm afraid, we will advertise for a replacement half way through pre season. As many have often said though regarding Waggot and Mowbray being close I find it very odd that they haven't spoke about future plans. Maybe they are both mushrooms being kept in the dark. Hopefully the local media can find Waggot and ask the question of does the club have a plan and timescale for a replacement? I'm not actually sure what Waggot does day to day, no one ever seems to see or hear from him, he's certainly not out and about engaging with fans like John Williams seemed to do. Odds on we get a 1 paragraph written statement saying "thanks Tony we wish you all the best and good luck we will provide a further statement in due course".

  10. He never thinks out the box unfortunately, look at what Motherwell have offered to fans on low incomes for an idea on what we could offer.

Prices for Wba are shocking, not many walk ons, I hate seeing fans shafted just because they bring a large following. Should be no categories it's the championship ffs. Also putting away fans in top tier is shite, prefer a better atmosphere tbh.

Trying to sell the training ground is shocking/ unforgivable.

The ground is looking tired in places, could offer jobs to local companies to spruce the place up a little, a lick of paint and a jet wash for starters.

I have no confidence if he went we would replace him with anyone with any nous. Sadly think people realise the owners can be taken advantage of and can line their own pockets if they get in a position of power at Ewood.

Successful clubs normally try to get the players in before pre-season, so everyone gels and understands how to play in our system. It's one of the reasons why we have not been anywhere in the Championship, we never have a settled side going into the season, we do most of our signings in the last week of the Window. We then write off the first 6-8 games while everyone settles in.

Tony doesn't believe in systems or formations hence why we don't need to bed them in. He will probably have any new recruits on the bench for a few weeks before giving them debuts in a totally alien positions.

That's pretty much exactly what Waggott said after the Oxford game. You think along similar lines, whilst missing the point entirely.

How many turned up at the FMC final? People turn up to see success at every club in the world. Rovers are no different. That still doesn't mean genuine fans who have watched more games than you ever will haven't walked away in disgust. Maybe they just have higher standards than you and can't bear seeing the club and Jack's legacy being systematically destroyed.

I agree in part with what you say regarding success and attendances, but for a supporter to totally walk away from their own club due to these imposters seems wrong in my eyes. Fair enough don't give em your hard earned dosh but there's nothing wrong with attending a few away games, supporting the lads and protesting in other ways. The sad part is new supporters could be lost forever if they get out of the habit of spending Saturday afternoons away from Ewood, which could take decades for the club to recover from.
