When you have that kind of group, the final piece is having a manager who is prepared to make tough decisions about the players he needs to drop to get the best XI.
No England manager ever dared to drop Lampard or Gerrard to play Scholes where he could have dictated play. Lampard and Gerrard should have been competing for one spot not two.
IMO scholes got plenty of chances for england, in his preferred role too, but never looked that good in international football, esp against the better teams.

It was a genuine request. I don't follow Nixon on Twitter (he has to approve you). Not having a go at anyone for providing updates.
Why are some on here so tetchy and quick to misunderstand?
I don't think it had anything to do with your request..
Edit- looked back, and the way you wrote 'ITK' Nicko comes across sarcastic.

I just hope TM can get his targets, whoever they are and whenever he can. Got to trust him.
Agree, it seems certain Conway is being lined up for a coaching role.

Why does chaddy get so much grief for posting updates? I CBA trawling through various online sites for Rovers items, so chaddys postings are very useful.

The club that used to be liquid looked busy when I passed on my way for a pizza on a Friday night.

Not sure TM should be admitting letting players manage themselves. All OK this season just gone with the success, but next season, if it turns out a struggle, we may ask wtf?! Besides, if TM isn't in the dressing room for a player being late, isn't he late himself?

NEWS: Blackburn Rovers' midfield target could opt to remain with current club: https://t.co/PmacHttwsV #BRFC #Blackburn #Rovers #Hibernian #Hibees
If true, possibly he has spoken to TM and realised he wouldn't for sure be a starter.
Or Rovers budget has enabled us to move for better targets?

Tbf he explains why he favours organic growth. The group trusts him and works for him. He knows the sum of the parts has to outweigh the individuals in order for Rovers to succeed. He said he didn’t want to be disloyal to them and in the circumstances, I agree...
i absolutely trust TM. Anyone who actually knows anything about The Venkys knows they are not frightened to pay the bill. In the past, this nature has been abused and they have been naive. Now they have a manager who genuinely has the clubs best interest at heart. No attempts to feather his own nest and no political persuasion. They’re right to trust TM imo.
I did say 'if' I was being cynical. I'm generally not and trust TM.
I think he's just being smart, keeping expectations realistic. If we were to do what Millwall and Sheff Utd have this past season, all the better.

Top 10 is doable ? Wow ..absolutely Wow ....a chumpchip top ten... from Imy.
You Venky bastards get out of our club !
If you constantly compare us directly to the currently Burnley set up, you are going to be frustrated for a long while yet.
-
I could be cynical in that a manager would favour an 'organic growth' as that keeps immediate pressure off him.

This interview is very positive for me:
Sounds like there’s budget to do a reasonable amount to me.
Good to hear. That's as much as we'll get to know I would have thought.

Sorry Mate, I'm not trying to do that. Just there's pages full of their stuff.

Maybe Jal and Mercer could go and prop up a bar somewhere, give us all a break.

Argentina's 23 has been named. There's no place for Mauro Icardi. He scored 29 goals in Serie A this season Not surprising though with the riches at their disposal. Unfortunately their defensive options are scant.
Goalkeepers: Sergio Romero, Willy Caballero, Franco Armani
Defenders: Gabriel Mercado, Javier Mascherano, Nicolas Otamendi, Federico Fazio, Marcos Rojo, Nicolas Tagliafico, Marcos Acuna, Cristian Ansaldi
Midfielders: Manuel Lanzini, Maximiliano Meza, Lucas Biglia, Ever Banega, Giovani Lo Celso, Angel Di Maria, Cristian Pavon, Eduardo Salvio
Forwards: Paulo Dybala, Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Gonzalo Higuain
Argentina players get well overrated IMO(Veron, Di maria).. Spain's are ageing, Germans unpredictable..
Brazil are my tip, but no reason england can't go far.

Nah I'm done. Nothing more to add. Boring at this time of year, esp a world cup year. Transfers don't really get going till after the tournament.
