Thanks for your updates on here chaddy. I'm always grateful for them.

Not sure why some are laughing at that post Chaddy.
Are we the only club where fans want to almost know the transfer budget? Hey other teams, we have this much to spend! Quick, charge us more!
Exactly.

Please do elaborate
Think he's just quoting 'rich Sharpe'..

I'm personally not going to speculate on possible targets, as I haven't a clue who TM might go for. I'll react when there's something concrete. The waiting is a bit of annoyance, ain't it? ?

Nuttall for one.
Wasn't Samuel signed before nuttall? Even if not, it couldn't be anticipated that nuttall would ready for first team football.

Samuel is a bad example as his recruitment blocked one of our youth players.
I believe Samuel could still prove a good acquisition. Not sure who he's blocked from the academy?

I'd put this one in the summer transfer thread never seen him play but why are Burnley finding International players and we aren't ? ... this should be the question for the conman behind our club !
Err, because Burnley are in the Premier League and we've just escaped league one?
Burnley also gave young players chances when they were in the championship(Trippier, Ings, Mee), and reaped the rewards of persisting with them during their indifferent early form. You might want to take note of that the next time you slag off nyambe , samuel and our academy prospects.

Pickford's scared of the ball if it's hit hard just watch his reaction for West Hams first goal.
God help us in the world cup if Pickfords selected.
What a waste of a spot.
I'm sure you'd select Nick Pope..

Those quotes won’t be post India. The LT will be doing what they do every summer, conduct a fairly wide ranging interview with the manager after the last game and then sprinkle bits of it in each day’s paper for as long as possible.
That seems likely.

Is this definitely a statement after the meeting with the Venkys?

You must’ve missed the “imo” at the end... You’re welcome to think what you want.
I'm just making a point about a posting of mine being considered rude, when established regulars on here seem to do it all the time.

Good options everywhere but center midfield and central defence is appalling..against the top teams dier and henderson will be slaughtered....to think we used to have scholes, gerrard, beckham, lampard.
Who achieved nothing under so called 'top managers'.
Let's embrace south gates new approach and see how it goes. You may be pleasantly surprised.
Maybe after this world cup, some of our players will be viewed in similar awe as the Germans on this thread.

With Leutwiler and Fisher included, it would be an utterly pointless decision to spend any of our budget on new goalkeepers imo.
But you respect my opinion all the same, of course..?

Actually I joined the board and started my first thread based on it. It was so clearly obvious his talent was being wasted. My opinion remains also
That's fair enough, as per a request made, I apologise for being a bit rude to you.

Wonder if we will be seeing some of League ones better players then, some players there that could easily step up
I think bowyers approach was right, picking up players from clubs just promoted to the premier league. A few of those will upgrade and let players go they don't deem quite up to prem standard. Cairney, Gestede and Evans were great signings as examples.
-
Bit concerned there's no mention of a keeper to challenge Raya.

I truly believe Southgate will become a great England manager. I predict semi finals in the World Cup and winners of Euro 2020.
I don't predict anything other than the players giving a better account of themselves than they have in recent tournaments.

Let me add and one of the most in form. He's been consistent since leaving rovers where he was badly mismanaged
I'm sure you've been trotting out such nonsense since he was rightly let go by bowyer. Now he's getting a bit of publicity for his 'good games'(being at a London club does that), you feel your stance is justified.
My opinion remains.

He's one of the best midfielders in the league. What don't you rate. His perfect passing range or his ability smash a 30 yard screamer
I believe I answered your question in the last post..

Still don't rate cairney. Too hot and cold for me.

Gareth southgate has to pick the players that suit how he wants to play. That is not always the best individual players in the country. We went down that road in the past, fitting in players like Gerrard and lampard together, when it clearly didn't work. I believe southgate is picking the best players for the TEAM.
You know, yes, southgate was poor with lesser quality players at boro, but international management is completely different. He may well have it right at this level.

To be fair, we have Kane, Sterling, Alli, Lingard, Vardy, Lallana and Rashford in attacking positions anyway.
And people think that is poor! ?
