  1. Season tickets have to count higher than anything else, and ultimately have top priority.   The issue here is deciding between season ticket holders for instances of high demand.

Season ticket holders are not entitled to Top Tenner tickets, or to miss the odd game during the season.   They MUST always get priority for putting their money up front.

  2. Many in the queue were of the view the Club shouldn't be accepting telephone applications at all.

I would have had no problem with them making you que for a ticket and in hindsight, I should have taken the day off and come over to que for a ticket. But I decided to go to work and try and phone because I was told I wouldn't have a problem. I will know in future.

The whole point of this ticketing review has be so that those who do travel regularly do not have to go through the situation of having to queue for 9 hours, redial 900 times, or to miss out completely.   Season ticket holders also need to have some sort of guarantee of a higher placing in such queues as any non season ticket holder

  3. The Barbary Coast - Sams Bar, Sun, Star, Bar Ibiza, Stage Door, St Johns Tavern and ZyBar are the best places to go to.  :sarc:

Rest are OK, not sure if some of the poncey bar type places on church st such as Marleys, Jam, The old Yates etc are open during the day.   all about 2 mins walk from Blackburn train station.   If not, there plenty of other pubs, whether they will make exceptions and not let colours in on that day remains to be seen, but is possible.

Pubs near the ground normally are home fans only except the Fernhurst, which is a pretty big place, and people end up boozing outside  Then again it depends what time you're planning on hitting Blackburn.

  4. Following this mornings situation over the distribution of Celtic Away tickets, Rovers have announced that their ticketing policy for major games is to be reviewed.

Unfortunately, this is of no use to those fans and season ticket holders who feel badly let down by the club.

Tom Finn told Radio Lancs that Rovers were only ever offered 3000 tickets, and that in the future, the club would review it's ticketing policy for future big away games, and reward those who travel on a regular basis.

  5. I really don't see this game being bigger than a top Premiership match. This season so far we have averaged 20-22k home supporters which is enough for the cup game against Celtic.

Really don't see what the problem is.

What do you reckon GAVIN,did this little post from your goodself on Oct 15th influence,Tom Finn,Williams, into accepting only 2800 tickets from Celtic,as oppose to the other offer of 7500.Nice one GAVIN.

    :O BIG MOUTH STRIKES AGAIN.

    BlueFlush - Leave it.

  6. SteB, you have to get a ticket.  It was stated that those season ticket holders that went to Sofia were guaranteed a ticket, therefore you, and Jordan etc have to have one.

I’m sure for all matches like this there are a number of tickets kept aside for cock ups etc.  As they won’t be able to take away someone else’s ticket yet at the same time they can’t go against their word.

I'm just figuring that it might take time to process the applications, but surely not that long.  If they havent opened the envelopes, how do they know how many tickets are needed (I put mine on the front though)...  Perhaps there might be a few tickets left over, I don't know.

Wouldnt have been worried, but others who applied by post already know about how many they are getting.

  7. Just spoke to the ticket office - Lots of soton away tickets left.

Apparently they havent processed the postal applications yet.   This could be fun.

According to the girl I spoke to this morning they had, as the information came up on computer when I read out the season ticket account numbers.

Bugger, because as of 10 minutes ago, it didnt for mine..

  8. i didnt get a ticket, i went to sofia and i havent missed a game in three seasons and when i went to the ticket office they told me there was no form to guarentee a ticket as there was nothing in the program and people who never went to sofia nor go to any away games have got tickets. i asked whether they are going to ask for more tickets anfd they said maybe. Does anyone have a email adress where i can get in touch with John Williams as a have already email the ticket office.

Anyone wanna sell a ticket £150

Surprised at that, the lady who took my application knew all about it.

Mentioned this to a mate who put his application in on Friday, and the T-O knew nothing, but rang somebody up, and took his application off him no problems.

Try the official site, theres an email for John Williams PA on the customer charter page.  Wont happen though.

  9. Rovers have now sold all their allocation for the Celtic Away game.

Many fans are sure to be annoyed, as there is little prospect of any extra tickets being allocated to Rovers.   Fans may take little consolation from the game being live on BBC1.

  10. Just got back from Ewood got 4 tickets unrestricted views - went down at 6 o'clock. People still joining the queue as I left (they have no hope in hell). Dad was trying on the phone and couldn't get thru. I didn't see anyone in the back of the ticket office taking calls - maybe they are only going to open the phone lines later?

I predict that SteB was wrong and we could have sold 8 - 10,000 for the game at Parkhead.

I never said we wouldnt sell that allocation.   I doubt we would have taken 8000 though.

I did say that I dont think we'd have sold 28000 home tickets if we only gave Celtic 3000 though.

  11. Yeah, join the queue in the rain like everyone else!!

Bit hard from Birmingham Ste - you know with work and all!

Also have you got a pocket PC there? you know to post from the queue that your in?

I'm at work too, one of the advantages of going to Sofia means I dont have to queue for hours.  (But i would have done)

  12. Yeah, its called queueing from 8pm the night before.  Then you get around the phone system.

I was told that Rovers have taken on extra staff for today to cope with demand, although it would be no surprise if they intentionally ignore the phone calls as theres already enough in the queue at ewood.

Sheer Weight of the queue must have caused earth tremors, as there was an earthquake in Manchester at 8:45 !!!!
