Could do that, would probably end up as more of a diamond with Johnson at the base. But would you really want to drop Dack deeper into the midfield, lose all our width and drop Graham entirely? To me it would seem mega weird.

For what it's worth I would say we are likely to line up :

    -------------------------New GK

    Nyambe----Lenihan (c)----new CB----Bell

    ------------------Travis----------Johnson

    ---------Downing-------Dack-------Rothwell

    -----------------------------Graham

Subs : Leut, Williams, Mulgrew, Bennett, Armstrong, Gallagher, Chapman/Brereton

If I was Brereton I would be thinking getting on the pitch is going to be very tricky.

Totally agree, hopefully a new left back though

He's not awful, he's just not great. I have absolutely no confidence he would ever get us anywhere near the play-offs. His recruitment is shit for a start.

This is why I have no confidence with the 'stay safe and build from there' mentality. We will loose the likes of Dack and Reed in the summer and TM dosnt have the talent to bring in replacements. We will not build, only continue to drop if the past is anything to go by

I can’t actually believe people are slating Mowbray and saying he should go... Bell gave them their first goal and we committed ourselves looking for a winner and they hit us on the break. Overall we were the better side tonight, created more chance a and had way more of the ball. This wasn’t an away performance like Wigan or Preston.. Our season is over anyway, this squad was never going too get into the playoffs and I think deep down we all knew that. I’d have taken a mid table finish before the season started and it’s looking that way now... Rothwell impressive when he came on, May as well give him and Brereton a run in the side now. BB was by no means spectacular tonight, but I think tonight was probably his best performance in a rovers shirt, he actually played okay. Just calm down and enjoy the rest of the season, we aren’t going up and we aren’t going down. Don’t torture yourself too much lads. I just pray we get our recruitment right in the summer, we should be planning that now knowing we’ll definitely be in this league next season.

And the only reason Bell was on the pitch is because TM chose not to sign a replacement, even though everybody knew both our left back options are awful. As a result we have paid the price and most deffinatly will continue to.

I only really interact with Rovers fans on here.

Please add me to a WhatsApp group with your mates where I can learn such pearls of footballing wisdom as changing a defence on a 4 win run.

Dosn't take 'pearls of footballing wisdom' to realise that not even featuring our best right back in the squad is a bad idea.

He went with a brave team who took the game to Sheffield United and then made unnecessary changes. You would think we were at man down at some point in that game such was the capitulation. We went from being in control to an absolute hammering and it was the result of the changes.

You certainly don’t bring off our main striker to bring on two number 10s. Mowbray went from brave to foolish in a very short space of time today.

Think it was more Smallwood being sent off tbh
