Hopefully no Armstrong on top today, he is not suited to be playing alone up front and his form is not good either.

For me.
Do you not think Johnson is looking leggy at the min. Just seems a half a yard slower.

Reckon we'll get hammered here.
Think Rothwell will start this one (I hope he does). Attack them from the start & we may have a chance.
Hammered? Or Chance.
Your post contradicts itself.

To me he looked comfortable with a good footballing head on his shoulders ..Found the pass when needed with very little effort also read the game with ease ..
In the end it was obvious he was not fully match fit hence why he came off otherwise he would have stayed on the pitch..IMHO .
To me he looked very nervous with those two first touches. Esp the second where he failed to control after the throwing.

Disagree on Rothwell, he has only been given one league start, but he showed in a regular spell towards the back end of last season that with regular starts he puts in high levels of performances. His link up with Dack is terrific too.
I agree, Rothwell has to start

How did Tosin look?
Lazy & Nervous and his technique was awful

Interesting stat,
Only one team in the championship today completed more passes, and also more passes in the attacking 3rd than us . And they are top of the league.
424 completed passes
107 completed passes in attacking 3rd.
Looked more fluid second half, we could of scored 5, but their keeper played well, I believe we looked at him in the summer, I would of took him over Walton tbf.
All in all we got the job done, but personally I don't like the look of tosin, he has the turning circle of a tank and looks lazy like bell.

I wouldn't call it spunking money on Armstrong he was cheap enough. The other 2, whilst not amazing are continually being played in stupid effing positions I'm honestly losing patience in it
Gallagher changed the game when he came on and looked a threat,

I think Gally will bag a couple today, West Brom are not the team they were last year. No Gayle, no dingle etc.
We should be beating teams like this. Especially when they could even score passed Smallwood.??
I'd like to see
Walton
Bennett Lenihan Williams Cunningham
Johnson Travis
Rothwell Dack Downing
Gallagher

A good, solid, professional performance and a team set up to beat Cardiff. The defence was well protected but the team and the manager were let down in the final third all game. Graham had two chances in the first half. Second half chances fell to Johnson and Williams as well as a couple of half chances to the likes of Downing.
Dack is completely off the boil. That’s our biggest problem at the moment.
Dacks hand injury looks to be causing his downturn in form.

You're not familiar with Neil Warnock then?
I bet they don't get near the play offs.

After filtering through a lot of shite and some sense, my comments are as follows.
We were crying out for a decent defence pre season first and foremost, correct? Seems to be going ok now, correct?
Make no mistake, Cardiff were promotion favourites and WILL 100% be top 6 this season. To me today looked like 2 teams perhaps respecting each over a bit TOO much.
A good team is built from the back, we are making progress people. Of course we need to bang a few more in, it's in the pipeline
Cardiff will not go ish above 10th, they are Poor, and struggle away.

Back in Belfast after my first visit to ewood this season.
Decent point in my opinion, the game could have went either way.
Plus points. Williams and travis both excellent. Walton in goal is starting to change my opinion of him.
Bad points. We just don't look like can buy a goal at the minute. Dack, we Downing, Graham, Gallacher all very quiet and if we were still playing now i don't think we would have scored.
That’s me finished now with games until November due to work commitments. Onwards and upwards.
Great effort, wish more people could get there.

Inept going forward or thwarted by one of the best defences in the league?
Hardly have you seen their away record. 6 in 2

Bell needs to be dropped permanently, he was shocking today, no football brain.

Was there any word in the TV commentary about Dacks injury? I noticed he didn't go down the tunnel for treatment immediately but I spotted him later disappearing to the dressing room.
He was on the pitch at full time applauding the fans

Assuming a no play clause for Cunningham against Cardiff?
Cunningham is eligible to play for Rovers in this season's Carabao Cup, but not in any games against his parent club.

It'll be unchanged I reckon, for the first time in a while. Only five times last year did we field an unchanged, but I think with it being an away game, we'll set up with a similar system to the Boro game - with more emphasis on the basics, and lumping it forward. Games like Cardiff and West Brom are where I think we'll get the ball back on the floor potentially and give Graham a rest.
We will need to play on the counter against Hull, and that team seriously lacks pace.
Personally I think he will go
Walton
Bennett Lenihan Williams Cunningham
Johnson Evans
Armstrong Dack Rothwell
Gallagher
Not saying it's the team I want, be can see it happening, as we need pace on the flanks.
Anyhow I think we will breeze this one, they where really poor last year and we did the double and 2 clean sheets.
2-0 Dack and Gallagher

CLASS!!!!!!
but defo wont be the line up
Mowbray will go
Williams for tosin
Bennett for Nyambe
Armstrong for Chapman
Downing for Rothwell
Gallagher for Graham
And we will get beat. 3-0
I think if we went with yours we would win 3-1
-
Not one shot on target is embarrassing.
Tough season ahead if this is the way we are doing things.
Mowbray gone by September

I don't think that. I think he lacks confidence. I also think he isn't good enough.
I disagree problem is he's too confident border line smug and he well and truly can't be arsed.
