We had three CBs on the pitch, i.e. we have height on the pitch for once.
Height or not, I'd rather we take our chances long than just giving it away with a short ball.

Wharton nearly cost us there, again!!
The amount of goals conceded by sloppy passing this season is unreal.

Fantastic result. Thought on the whole we played brilliantly across the pitch. Hill, Tronstad, Szmodics all outstanding. Thought Pickering, JRC, Britain, Dolan, Moran all had very good games.
The two Whartons both really struggled imo. Scott just seems to keep doing daft things, including the madness of the challenge for the red when we were 3-0 up. Adam doesn't do daft things but his passing was really off it today. And thats been a theme for months. I suspect Adam will lose his place again to Travis who was superb when he came on.
On Leo... i hate judging early. But some of the basics really seem to be missing in terms of handling crosses, and while obviously decent with his feet he is repeatedly playing short passes into marked players which is suicidal. He needs to start catching crosses with authority and picking better passes out of the back asap.
Travis hasnt been the best this season, but we need some raw pride and aggression for our opponents on friday, travis fits that bill.

Cracking result, chuffed for Dolan particularly, and Moran showed why he needs to stay in the team.
Don't want to tempt fate here, but Ched Evans must be licking his lips at anything in the air on Friday night, he will just take the lot.
Absolutely critical our possession game is on song against Preston, we can't afford to give them cheap possession in dangerous areas. At all costs, we need to stop the crosses.
Me too, really vouching for him, roll on a hatrick of backflips against them ankle biters.

Love the viscious replies to todays match from preston, they truly are, absolute vile jack russells with one of the biggest cases of small man syndrome I have ever seen.
They are calling for our players to be out of the picture and injured, they want us down and out, cannot wait to paste them on friday.
They pretend to hate Blackpool, but only because we disregard them as an irrelevant local rival.
Still calling us plastics when we havnt been in the prem for over a decade.
A true small club.

Think you're living in hope more than reality, as nice as it would be. 🤞
Burnley will escape. Newcastle to go 1-up at t'Turf, with Leeds going 1-up at Brentford. Dingles will find a way to equalise. Meanwhile, Leeds will bottle it and lose.
Burnley 1 - 1 Newcastle
Brentford 2 - 1 Leeds
WRONG

Dolan goal with a backflip towards the PNE support would make my year, with the absence of the Burnley derby this game really does add a couple of great fixtures, neither wants to lose.

The only thing we can hope is that he follows the path of other double ACL victims who went on to be very successful
Imagine the fear of returning after that.... could you ever trust your knees again?
Constantly thinking "is it going to go"
I think the only positive is that it's not the same knee which almost certainly would of knocked him out of the game forever?
He seems pretty strong minded so I have faith!

Go 1-0 down and turn to Correy Evans.
Confirmed troll.
I feel like the only reason one of the best teams in the championship could be this bad was if it's a fix and that explains why mowbray looks so grim every game sat in the stands, knowing he's deliberately ruining us.
My inner conspiracy is coming out.

We need to finish Preston off, I can sence their anxiety about tonight's game, we cannot allow them any resttbite.
Let's complete the job live on tv for all the world to see.
They talk about payback but they have had the upper hand for years now, time for some PAIN.

That goal showed just how awful Mowbray's team selection has been this season.
WHY is he playing Gally on the wing game after game when we have Dolan who can come on and give the opposition kittens?!?
I agree wholeheartedly.
What is with this long ball sh*te!!!
We should be playing passing football with the likes of dolan on the team sheet NOT Gallagher, that guy cannot play football!
So happy for dack, he needed that goal more badly to cement his place and show the league he isnt just back in theory.
As far as Dolan goes, that goal was all him imo and I'm glad as this will now force mowbray to rethink his bizarre team selection tactics.
LONG BALLS ONLY WORK WHEN YOU ACTUALLY RECIEVE THE BALL AND USE IT!!

It's already been said but il say it again.
This has got a rovers loss written all over it.
Back to back wins, 2 points off the playoffs, the holy ground coming into view, opponent being brentford away, people feeling good about rovers thinking we have turned a corner.
However, we did score a late winner in the last match, I can count on one hand the amount of times we have done that.
The bookies odds where too tempting and I backed rovers anyway.
Let's just see what happens, I'm excited to see some supporters and brentfords new ground.

I've got gillingham v Bristol rovers m commentary playing through???

Just checking in to say I'm still boosting off our win, this will keep me going until the weekend at least.

I literally just cannot seem to get enough of this win, half pissed on brandy and beer just ordered a massive pizza, I shall sleep happy tonight!!!!
Dolan scoring has just absolutely silenced the nobbers, I do not think they can possibly recover from this.
That backflip....!!!
The best bit? Watching mowbray just sit in the stands calmly sipping water, what a magician!
One to remember.

Preston fans remind me of men with short man/dick syndrome, unhappy with their small height and it shows, bitter and jealous towards their rivals they have so much to try and prove.
Believe me it would upset them much more if they lost then it would us.
However it's always beautiful to silence cocky little jack Russells up.

2-1 Rovers
Time we broke this first game deadlock.
Thing is with hitting so many blacks eventually you are going to land on red.

This was at the 36 game mark last year losing to preston, I find viewing where we was then at 17th with 44 points and where we are now very sobering.
