Sheff Wednesday game now 12.30 on a Sunday on Sky.

    Yay .

Completely messed our weekend plans up for this. No child care cover now for this one.

Looks like a night on the piss in Leeds instead. Any idea how many tickets Leeds are releasing?

Was just about to write the same thing. Definitely into the poor bracket. After his initial impact he's done absolutely naff all for a while now.

I got absolutely lambasted by a certain poster when I suggested siggy is poor. He offers no attacking threat currently, as soon as he receives the ball he looks to offload.

When he first arrived he said he's a player that likes to run at defenders and be on the offensive, where has that player gone now? Is that down to coaching? Out of form? Lacking confidence?

  3. Great win today and just what we needed!

You could see today that they were told to play balls up to gallagher, every time we did szmodics and dolan peeled round the back of him waiting for a flick, which paid off for Dolans second.

How many times in the past have we been frustrated with Gallaghers lack of presence despite his size, but today we played to his strengths and he actually got more than 2 inches off the ground 🤣

IMO we absolutely do. Leonard showed today he's got what it takes to step up in this league and that's great, but he's a young lad and it's not fair to pin all of our hopes on him. He'll go through periods of good and bad form, as all young players do, and we need quality to rotate in that position. Leonard could also pick up an injury at any time, which would leave us in a difficult position - especially with Ennis' fitness a major question mark, and in my view at least Gallagher not being good enough to lead the line regularly.

At least one other decent striking option needed for me (ideally with Gallagher leaving) and a better RW option needed to challenge Dolan as well.

Exactly, I feel like we need Gallagher to leave and bring a proven CF in, we then need another winger to compliment what we already have.

If we get them then I think we'd be serious contenders

He isn’t writing him off Chaddy. He clearly said he was disappointed with how slow he was… then followed it up with a positive.

Yes not writing him off at all, I don't think you can have an opinion on how somebody is going to be after 4 minutes of play. I was merely pointing out what he was like.

We are desperately needing another winger and a striker though but that's glaringly obvious, same ad everybody else has pointed out. Past the first 11 we have next to nothing

Let's hope Leonard and the likes of Gilsenan can really step up

He's looking better than when he first landed despite a certain someone claiming he wasn't out of shape on here eh....

In his defence, he will have been told not to go full throttle on sprints today, it would be silly and injury provoking, it's normal, don't panic.

Yes definitely not panicking as he looked composed on the ball, just expected him to be quick,

On the plus point for the game some good little passages of play done to cut through their midfield and then ultimately their defence.

Tronstad looking good and very tidy

  7. Has anyone mentioned the dive that Barnes did in the first half aswell? No card, complete blatant dive.

Should of been a standard yellow.

Then the Cork first challenge, no card, and then the two footed challenge, piss poor reffing.

To then top it off and not give handball at the end. A complete bottle job from the officials from start to finish in a game that mattered

    Absolutely nothing to fear here.

Think Brum have only 13 points from their last 13 games.

Very confident Rovers will have more more enough to win this by a couple of goals.  Games like this simply HAVE to be won at this stage of the season.

Think Rovers' win at 2/1 is great value - get on them and get that Easter nest egg built.

That's the problem though isn't it. Rovers never win games like this when we need to and should win. This is why for the past 10 or so years we've struggled.

Let's see if Tommasson has changed our mentality and we keep pushing forward until the end of the season

Not for me - we crossed the ball well yesterday and found a number of good through balls. It wasn't the delivery for me, it's getting on the end of the delivery .

Obviously delighted if LO'B turns up, but midfield is such a smaller issue than up front. That said I can't see the football authorities reversing their decision. Irrespective of the practicalities of the case if they reverse then they will be absolute snowed under with dozens of appeals every window. To avoid that they are heavily incentivised to uphold the decision. If there is any way to uphold it they will go for it.

    Agree on this.

You look on our right hand side with Thomas. We had someone who was direct and quick, he was putting balls in with no one on the end

We require a striker who can get to them balls, but also either Diaz finding his form again, or him going and replacing for another direct winger.

You then have dack picking up second balls behind the striker and LOB transitioning play. Surely in an ideal world, that's how JDT wanted to walk out of the transfer window looking like.

Missing out on this lad is one thing, but this side is miles away from being contenders for promotion, which makes him coming in pretty irrelevant for me.

Atleast most people can blame this on the reason why we didn't get promoted this year. Squad in a whole isn't good enough, some big gaps all over that isn't good enough
