    By a long way.

    Not good enough.

    Useless out.

    Waggot out.

    Venkys out.

Good because I want him out and I don’t want to catch any more grief for it. I genuinely believed we had to win this and Saturday to stay up, because the only other potential win I saw was Sheff Weds at home in the run-in. If we turn up again on Saturday with this attitude, we’ll have stolen a win, if we manage it.

While typing this, his interview came on the Rovers TV feed. I’d share it but it’s too big of a file. Suffice it to say, he’s pleased with the performance, somehow.

I don’t understand how Buckley can put in a performance like Newcastle and then next time at Ewood turn in this dross. Baffling

He is League One at best and he’ll carve out a career at that level but he is a bench option at this level. Nowhere near enough about him to make it in the championship.

So we've traded pretty but ineffective football to abysmal but ineffective football.

Nothing I've seen so far makes me want Eustace here longer than this month let alone past this season.

Think the project is officially dead, at this stage. Operation “No Pressure On Results” in full swing.

I’d want a new coach ASAP, but Venky’s aren’t paying 2 years off and nobody’s coming in for Eustace on these displays.

  4. So uncertain on the ball, which is why there’s nothing happening up top. Too much dawdling, Scott Wharton having to try and force it.

Szmodics coming too deep for the ball, but will struggle with speculative crosses against a deep line.

Again, I watch that first half performance and can truly only wonder what Eustace has actually told them to go out and do. I have to assume that whatever he’s told them to do, they’re not doing, but still no semblance of a plan.

Hopeful that he can get across in 15 mins what they didn’t pick up in the past couple of days.

  5. A win here and we can progress out of danger. A draw here and we are still in the thick of it. A loss is a clear indicator that we’re going down. I’ve said earlier, the three victories we absolutely need are this, Plymouth and Sheff Weds at home. Points in other games can’t really be legislated for.

If we score in the first 15, I think we have a good chance at victory. If we’re 1 down by 30 mins, we’ll likely lose.

2-1 Rovers, just because I don’t want to think about us going down, but in reality, the reverse scoreline.

Any news or video links on 'f---gate'?

Seems very quiet if it happened.

I flagged it yesterday and I am fully prepared to be told different. I’ve actually been thinking about it, because there was no replay and there is every chance it was a “f*ck’s sake” or a very long “f******ck.”

In the moment, I was pretty sure but without that replay of it, can’t honestly tell you either way.

6 points from the next two and I’ll be confident we’re staying up, 4 points and I’ll be hopeful, 3 points and I’ll be worried, less than 3 and we’re down.

This is exactly it. I do not see another win until Sheff Weds at home after the next two and with our current performance levels, I barely see a point in many of the other games.

If we win those three, I think we very likely stay up.

I was looking at Sammie at the time but others seem to have said JE too

Sammie looked a bit put out (fair fucks, he couldn’t physically have done anything else today, the fans have no leg to stand on giving him grief) but Eustace looked to have done the “chin up” thing and then, as he was turning away, say “fuck off.”

  9. The blame here is with the owners and Waggott still. Rewind to the summer and genuinely £3m of transfers probably has us top-half, looking at playoffs in the final push.

It’s only ever been the owners to blame, the stooges rotate.

Second side note: Eustace has just done the “chin up” motion to our fans, before telling them to fuck off as he turns away. Clearly our fans have given some much-deserved shit to the players and manager and - still, even after a player-fan meeting and a manager coming in on a “no excuses” platform - they don’t like it.

If you’re big enough and ugly enough to ask for six figures a year to kick a bag of wind around every day, you’re big enough and ugly enough when the people who pay to watch you do it tell you you’ve been shit.

I don’t want to sound too dramatic, but surely if we fail to get 4 points - as an absolute minimum - in the next two home games, then we’re as good as down given our run in, right?

Those two and Sheff Weds at home are the only prospects of victories I can see in the run-in. So yeah, 9 points that are non-negotiable, really.

Side note; why did Ben Benson just kick the ball away from Markanday then?!

I’m not disagreeing and he is undoubtedly the best player in our team but the sad thing about it all is he probably wouldn’t make the top 100 best players I’ve seen in a rovers shirt. That’s how far we’ve fallen.

Agreed, he’d be lucky to make the squad of the best players in my lifetime (not that long), but in terms of his achievements this season (dragging us forward in every game, digging us out of every hole we find ourselves in, leading the team from the front) he is at least a cult hero and very likely legendary if we stay up this season. It’s been a staggering effort from him.
