Hands up , who thought Bell would leave for a team that would finish above Rovers.

Excited by carter. Not getting carried away, but really looking forward to seeing more of him.

Preston, especially in the first half, had fight in them. Rovers did not.
They were up for it, dominated the game, earned the win.
They could've easily had more. We got a lucky pen that counted for nothing.
More than anything.. Just depressing.

4 subs coming on changing the attack. Tweaking the formation. Mogga has to get some credit for this, no?
I like that he did it with enough time for them to effect the game.
Take Ancelloti when Everton we're losing at home to Newcastle that morning. The inspiration from the manger was to drag a winger off and chuck on a CDM.
Must unsettle the Luton back line having to deal with fresh legs, new faces, new system.

Second game where Gallagher impacts the game too. Big shout to the lad!
Agree. Gally is growing on me. takes a lot of stick on these boards. I think we look better of late when he's been involved.

Not sure if it's been said.. But gally looked decent today.

we could play another 90 and not score.

Just a quick reminder for everyone... Rothwell is on the pitch.

Buckley terrible pass..

Does Trybull ever look to get the ball forward? Just there he picks it up with space in front of him.. first thought is to turn and look back.

He gets into a lot of good goalscoring positions and scores well over half of them?
Fair comment. Just asking the question as I found it quite impressive to be topping both of those statistics.

Fingers crossed the game gets called off due to covid. 🤞

I look at teams like Watford, where mediocrity is not accepted by the owners.
A short run of poor results and they make a change. Managers hired in on short contacts.
It keeps a fire lit under them. No room for complacency.

Painful to watch.

No commentary tonight
I've noticed for some of our other away games it can sometimes take a while to kick in. Like someone's forgotten to press a button.

Goal attempts in recent losses:
20 Vs Norwich
16 Vs Bristol
15 todayWith one solitary goal from 50+ shots

We had enough clear chances in that game. We need or players to take the small number that come along.
The shooting practice ifollow showed before the game was woeful. The shooting in the game was worse.
-
I wonder what combination of a back line we'll see tonight. Feels like area most susceptible to change.. probably a good indicator of why we've been so porous.
-
Ayala and Williams did not look comfortable together. Best partnership so far has probably been Lenihan - Warton.

I don't pay that much attention to other teams in the league... are we the only ones bemoaning the amount of injuries. Or is this a common theme for every team this year?
-
Brereton and gally sliding in one after the other...
There time at Rovers summed up in one move.

Interesting that in that DG interview that was posted recently he said that Mowbray and Venus were complete opposites with their approach to the game. I've heard it said before too. So who is the purist who is pushing this new all-out attack and who is the more pragmatic of the two?
You'd hope this would be a positive thing? Any good team whether in football or other walks of life - require difference of opinion.

This game has a similar feel as the Watford match. We'll see large amounts of possession. We'll keep recycling left to right... right to left. We'll get chances - remains to be seen whether we'll take them when presented.
Reading will be confident. We will be confident. Should be a decent game. Really enjoying how much I'm saying that this season.

They've had the first half we had against boro. But they took the chances.
