Pears did rather well too.
True. I forgot he saved the shot that hit the crossbar.

Szmodics is brilliant. He single handedly saved us today.
Edit: Not only today. Without him we would be relegated

Eustace certainly comes across as a panic appointment. If he is allowed to continue there is no reason to be positive about next season. Without the points from the early part of the season, relegation would already be confirmed. After his "new manager bounce" is over I expect us to collect even less points then what has been the case so far.
Somehow he seems to be pleased with what he has accomplished when in reality he should be ashamed and scared of losing his job. Even with our weak squad his record is unacceptable. Considering how poor we're playing, it doesn't feel likely that we will start picking up more points if he is allowed to continue whatever he is trying to do.

What on earth have you seen that makes you think he's a fine manager? He's been dire with us and has been dining off of a short burst of results at Brum in the gap between clubs.
Arguably, Wharton aside, he has a better squad than JDT had because a lot of the injured players came back when he took over, and yet still he can barely scrape points.
Right? Eustace thinks we have some fantastic young players and he thinks our recruitment is very good.
“This football club has some fantastic young players, the recruitment has been very good, the coaching has been excellent and it’s my job to try and evolve that and put my own stamp on it, which is something I’m looking forward to doing.

So sick of Eustace. Cowardly tactics, empty words, Steve Kean-esque press conferences and putrid performances. He should be sacked even if we manage to stay up (of course he won't).

I know Wahlstedt has been poor but Pears is awful and looked like a nervous wreck in the most important game of the season. How is he back out there like nothing happened after that horror show?

For a "no excuses" kind of man he sure seems to offer a lot of excuses. If he's pleased with the performances against Millwall and Plymouth he should be sacked immediately.

Still a chance to get the one point Eustace was praying to get from this game. At home against one of the worst teams in the league.

Cowardly performance when a win was needed. Eustace should be sacked.

Disappointed that Eustace has seemingly been happy to get a draw in games that we should have been trying to win. And no, we don't look solid at the back despite Eustace's tactics. Yes, recruitment has been terrible, but his approach is not helping.

The squad has been so weaked by poor recruitment (and getting rid of our best player). Now we definitely look like a relegation outfit, seemingly content with trying to get a draw against any opponent. Aimlessly hoofing it forward and praying. Head coach scared of rotating the squad because the bench is terrible, which leads to exhausted players and maybe increased injury risk. January 1 we were 10 points clear of relegation and now it's 4 points.

What a terrible performance. Feels harsh to judge Eustace this early but we look completely hopeless. I wonder if those clowns who celebrated a successful transfer window are still happy.

Just how bad is the Swedish team if Ayari and Wahlstedt have got caps?
Those caps were friendlies where only players from the scandinavian leagues were selected.

Another poor performance but it could be a valuable point in the end. It's still early days but is Eustace's football philosophy to just park the bus and hoof it and pray? Surely there's a middle ground between this and what was before?
The players looked exhausted in the second half but considering our weak bench I can see why Eustace would be scared to make more changes.

A terrible transfer window resulting in starting clearly unfit Fleck who gets injured right away. In comes Garrett who is not ready to play at this level and then our opponents can play through our midfield with ease.

Pathetic performance. We looked so sluggish. Outclassed by a relegation rival and no discernible game plan. After JRC went off injured things turned even worse, as Garrett is not ready to play at this level. Brittain was terrible. Chrisene also had a very poor game. Telalovic unfortunately seems to be a poor man's Chris Brown.

Feel relieved about the performance and the result today! Refreshing to see some more direct football as well. All players deserve credit for a hard fought win. Huge penalty save by Pears. For being out this long, Hedges had very good game and didn't look rusty at all. McFadzean had a very good debut as well, looking like a strong leader at the back. Hopefully we can build on this. And let's hope Gallagher doesn't get injured.

Surely Broughton has not been sacked simply because the owners doesn't want to pay compensation. Penny pinching is more important than anything else. Who needs basic professionalism? If it's true that he and his minions were celebrating this shit transfer window, then that's concerning.

It's the responsibility of Ian Sylvester. No questions there.
Whether he will be head to roll or whether the blame will be forced onto Broughton is the question.
Rather the responsibility of whoever didn't sack Sylvester a year ago. That is unless this pathetic clown show was intentional.

Did the club update us when all the Obrien fuck ups were going on and the subsequent appeals etc? Genuinely can't remember now. Or was it just updates from Rich Sharpe?

Maybe, but I’ve not seen anything to say Chrisene is any good going forward. He was very limited against Huddersfield and I was amazed he got MOTM yesterday on the ground.
He looked better than he did against Huddersfield but his most memorable contribution was when some QPR player tore him a new one on the wing. Slows up play and doesn't look like he can offer much going forward. Still early days though, hopefully he can improve.

Read some comments somewhere on the net where some fans exulted in what one of them called a "wonderful window'!
Wonder what they think of it now? One even called on the LT to sack the reporter who used the word "banned" in relation to JDT's non-appearance at that press conference. Mental.
There are quite a lot of pro-venky scum in the LT comments. What about this comment that I just saw on there:
"Some of the stuff JDT has come out with post-match make his position totally untenable. Get him sacked and get a manager that can organise the defence and work with the budget he has, rather than the budget he wants. If it turns out that there has been a balls up with the McGuire transfer then, that's life mate, move on."
He got quite a lot of likes for these words of wisdom. Feels unreal.

Poor performance against a poor team and definitely deserved to lose. Expecting Moran to be an adequate replacement for Wharton is madness.
The transfer window was horrible both short term and long term. Out of our january signings, O'Riordan is the only one who will be here next season. The squad is not one you would want to have in a relegation scrap. GB can just shut up and stay out of the spotlight. Pretending that this transfer window was a success just makes you sound like a devious snake.

Potentially a slightly alarmist headline when you read the content, but potentially not. It's not a great look.
Disgusting to see the comments of some of those pro-Venky braindead buffoons on there. Terrific transfer window? Ungrateful JDT? Mind-boggling.

Fleck looked overweight and sluggish even in the few minutes he played for us before picking up his latest injury. Even with how mismanaged the club is I cannot imagine he will be offered a new contract. Actually maybe Fleck will be the new director of football.
