7 goals and 6 assists in 44 matches from a guy who thinks he’s SOOOOO much better than Rovers and is expecting a move to a ‘lower Premier League club’? Please.
Mate, I saw your assertion about Dolan’s “output” and tried not to emphasise it because quite frankly, it’s embarrassing for you and TD. Dolan is quite simply an Instagam’able Ryan Hedges. A mid championship, average player, and at least Hedges knows it. I’ve seen very little of Kargbo but I’d bet everything I have that if he was gifted 200+ games in the championship, playing for Rovers his “output” would be considerably higher than Dolan’s.
He’s obviously a great lad and I’ve never wanted to be proven wrong more. But my bet is that he’ll eventually sign for Bristol City (yawn) or the like, job about for a year or two and then disappear into League 1.
The end.
Dolans output is embarrassing for me and him? You’re a strange chap. Genuinely never read so much shite.
TD being an ‘instagrammable Ryan Hedges’ is also possibly the worst take of anything ever written on this site. It’s up there with Venkys never refuse to sign a cheque.
Groundbreaking stuff!

Honestly, I don’t wanna bore everyone on Dolan. But in 40yrs I haven’t seen a player flatter to deceive more than him. Takes 5 touches, when he needs just 1. Crosses when he should pass, dribbles when he should cross and is soooo slow. People focus on his supposed output with rose tinted glasses because he does work incredibly hard. For me, he’s a mid championship squad filler at best, if he accepted that then I’d be happy to have him come on to see games out and chip in with 5 goals a season.
The only reason he hasn’t signed for anyone yet, is because everything that has been put across his agents desk is on less or the same money and involves a side ways move. Dolan is Nyambe mk2. And just like when Brittain turned up post Nyambe, a decent winger will come to the club this summer and suddenly folk will be like “Ahh so THAT is what a forward should do!?”
You totally ignored his output last season and banged on about Nyambe. Great discussion👍

Spent 2nd half of last season on loan at Derby. Very highly rated by their fans. He looks a tall athletic CM.

True, just REALLY badly! 🙈🤣
His goals and assists last season would suggest otherwise…and that was in a team set up defensively.
I was never his biggest fan till last season but I think he’s a genuine goal threat at Championship level.

To me, that sounds like we need to make additions on our front line (which could mean just a striker, or he's including the whole front 4) and then 2 or 3 additions across the rest of the positions.
It does, but then in another part of the article it quotes VI as saying just 2 or 3 in total.
Jackson should have qualified it.

Well you are going to know by playing him. We know we have a talent here so bring in through and develop his game. Like we did with Wharton
Didn't stop Sunderland bringing through Rigg cos of his age, so why should it Tyjon
You’ve literally copied the post above yours. No need to repeat it.
-
Personally I think there is a need for a No10 as any injury to Cantwell will leave us short. Unless Tyjon is viewed as good enough to step up on a regular basis. Not seen him play but seems a big ask of a 17yo. I suppose Ohashi could play there but to me he’s better as a striker.
We probably also need another striker and a RM/RW.
Just shows how valuable Dolan was cos he could fill every position in the front 4.

‘I think it's clear that we have something to do on our front line. Other positions, I think that we need two or three more additions which would be perfect’
It was that para that wasn’t clear. 👆

2 or 3 more signings, with emphasis on the attack seems to be the message from Val….but the quotes are a bit all over the place.
Can’t work out if it’s 2 or 3 in ‘other positions’ PLUS attackers, or just 2 or 3 in total.
Jackson’s articles are a difficult read at the best of times!

So is Baradji actually injured right now?
Or is it a case that the medical has picked up something that could/will cause a problem at some point in the future?
Stress fracture of the foot apparently

But he wasn’t brought in as a squad player. He was brought in to replace Baker who was 1st reserve for Travis / Tronstadt. Travis was injured so he needed to start immediately. And any other injuries (which happened) meant he would start more.
The club was rightly criticised for putting the managers in that position, and the player was rightly criticised as he wasn’t good enough to be starting in those games. So when you say the criticism of his was ‘wildly over-exaggerated ’, I think your way off.
and yet the manager was happy to bring him back. Like I said, he wasn’t fit, as he got fitter he got better. I think the criticism was overblown.

not this again, JDT signed off on Telalovic and he could have signed that other striker plus Ennis. Maybe he should have just sign one striker instead with Gallagher and Leonard.
He was so happy with him he never played him.

As opposed to being derided for being shite and the stats backing it up.
Im the first to hold my hand up if I got a player or manager wrong. With Forshaw, he was the absolute wrong signing at the wrong time.
The fitter he got the better he played. He’s a squad player who brings vital experience. We don’t have enough of those players so I’m glad he’s here.

I think the criticism was due to his performances in the games he started. He started 12 games last season across 2 clubs and won just one. In most of his Rovers starts he was poor with people going drifting past him too easily leading to him having to stand off his man to avoid getting turned.
Forshaw Season 24/25 starts
P12 W1 D2 L9
For Rovers when he featured 45mins+
P7 W1 W1 L5
He did play a combined total of 78 minutes in the five games at the end where he did look better as we tended to be in front and defending heavily by that point. “Very good” is the over-exaggeration.
Plus Batth didn’t look to be on the decline and people are concerned about his age. Forshaw looked old when he featured, clearly is on the decline and turns 34 next month.
Lies, damn lies and statistics.
IIRC the stats showed we were more likely to win when S Gally was in the team but he was almost universally derided for being shite.
-
Forshaw was very good towards the end of the season at coming off the bench late on and calming the game down.
The criticism of his game, as ever, is wildly exaggerated.-

Midfield is a problem and an even bigger problem should Travis and/or Tronstad leave.
Forshaw - no better than a 10/15 minute sub. Bet he can't believe his luck when a then desperate Rovers signed him again.
Tavares - unproven and his track record at his last club far from convincing.
Buckley - a stroller, not Championship level and Ismael's type of player.
Montgomery - do not understand the hype about this lad who last season was playing for Marine and Chorley. Seen nothing to suggest he can be an answer in midfield. He can run, so what?
Positive as ever, Howard RV!

Are you off your rocker? I've only been on the site for a few minutes! For the point I was making, the exact age doesn't matter.
I'm saying a 30 years old centre-back signing doesn't create excitement. I could have put 30+ but does it matter?
Go away and annoy someone else
Well I’m sooooooooo very sorry you keep getting everybody’s age wrong!
Anyway, lighten up, I was only joking. Sheesh!

That’s even worse. He’s at least 34.
You’ve had an an absolute shocker tonight, and that’s from a guy who thinks ‘on route’ is a thing.
